Depending on conditions, you might hook into Black Drum, Bluefish, Cobia, Crab, Flounder, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Ladyfish, Redfish, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, and whatever else takes the bait. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Fishfinatic Guide Service is a child-friendly charter service, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll be welcome aboard a 21’ Key West bay boat with a capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don’t leave home without sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Unforgettable Day on the Water!
We had an incredible experience with captain Larry! From the moment we stepped aboard, the captain Larry was friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. He knew all the best spots and made sure we were comfortable and having a great time every step of the way.
The boat was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed. We caught plenty of fish — including some we never expected! The captain was great at teaching us techniques and helping everyone, from beginners to experienced anglers, get in on the action.
It was more than just a fishing trip — it was a full adventure. Beautiful views, great conversation, and a relaxed atmosphere made it the highlight of our trip. We’ll absolutely book again next time we’re in town. Highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a top-notch day out on the water!

Captain Larry Put Us On Fish!

Captain Larry is everything that I hoped a fishing guide would be. He was knowledgeable about the area, had a detailed plan on when and where to go to catch fish, and was overall a very pleasant guy to talk to and be around. One thing that really stood out was just how excited he was when we caught fish and just how disappointed he was when a big fish on the end of the line turned out to be a huge stingray instead of a big redfish. You could tell he loved fishing and that he really enjoyed being a guide. We caught redfish, flounder, bluefish, black drum, stingrays and various other fish. Will definitely be booking with him again next time I’m in the area. Had a great time with my brothers. Thanks so much again Captain Larry!

Great Trip!
Georgetown 6 hour trip on March 14, 2025 • 2 adults
We met up with Captain Larry for a 6 hour trip. Had a great time. Captain is a super laid back guy. Was on time ready to go and get us into the fish. We get a couple slot Reds and a catfish inshore then hit up the jetty and hammered the Black Drum for a couple limits. Picked up a sheepshead as well. Back in the river we finished up limiting with 2 more slot Reds. Larry was a wealth of information on local history and pointed out points of interest. Really enjoyed that. Equipment was top notch as was bait. There are a LOT of choices when searching for a great guide. If your looking I would definitely recommend Fishfanatic Guide Service!!

Captain Larry is one of the greats. We had cold and windy weather, but no bother, we worked around the creeks and inlets, found reds, trout and flounder as well as some hard-fighting blues. Overall, one of the best days I've had fishing, and I've fished inshore from Costa Rica to the Chesapeake Bay. I can't wait to come back and fish with Captain Larry in Murrells Inlet. Great captain and great fishery.

Captain Larry was a awesome to fish with. He took us out and put us on 3 out of 5 target fish. Everyone that came in that morning said nobody caught any fish that morning. Captain Larry knew right where to go! This was a family trip, he was patient with the kids and my wife. showed them where and how to fish and then taught is things about each species we caught. Definitely recommend!!!!
