There's a fish with your name on it in Panama City and Knott Workin will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Hunter
can tell you all about the local fishery.
Species like Amberjack, Gag Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Cobia, Redfish, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Grunt, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and more inhabit these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Samantha will have some on board!
You'll find yourself aboard a 27' Sea Hunt Gamefish center console with space for 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Knott Workin!
