If you’re ready to discover fishing in Cape Fair, look no further than Boyers Guide Services.
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Brown Trout, Crappie, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Walleye, and more, depending on the time of year. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Dan believes in teaching kids to fish while they’re young, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!
Your adventure begins aboard an 18’ Nitro bass boat that can carry up to 3 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Dan will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. You can’t go wrong when you bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Bottled water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.
