After scheduling the trip five months in advance hope our friends (man and wife in their late 60s) and me and my wife (both 67), I didn’t hear from the service until less than 24 hours before we met to fish. I contact the service almost 48 hours prior to find out where we were meeting and any additional details. When I did finally hear from the service I was asked if our party of four had brought waders. We’d flown in from Dallas, TX and it was the first time I’d been told we’d need waders. So no, we didn’t have waders. When I scheduled the trip I was told we’d be fishing from a boat. Then we were switched to another Captain and asked if we could meet at 4 am versus the original 6 am. I said we’d like to stick with 6 am. The new captain (Nick) was excellent and it was a successful trip. Better information in a timely manner would have been greatly appreciated.

My family of 5 had an unforgettable day. We are from the south and have not fished in Alaska. Jason explained the technique of catching sockeye to us and by the end of the trip we had a full stringer. He was patient and courteous with us all. We couldn’t have had a better trip.
We had a great time and caught our fish. The boat motor had a problem and the owner offered to charge us for only a half day or bring out another boat. He had the boat out there quickly and got us back on the water for the rest of the day. Great time had by all.

Brian was a great host and guide. Friendly and knowledgeable, taught 3 people that had never touched a fly rod how to catch salmon. Kept it fun and safe. Expertly fileted all of our salmon, ready for freezing and shipping. All around great experience.

Mark was a great guide and we caught our limit. We had a great time, even our 9 year old caught his limit!
Soldotna, Alaska, United States
Capt. Mark runs trips out of Soldotna aboard a 20' Willie Boats vessel. These waters are known for Salmon and Trout and he will show you how to catch them, regardless of the technique used. With extensive knowledge of the area, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, and the only way to learn is to join him out on the water!
