Colby guides for smallmouth bass, trout, and steelhead, and guides on rivers within 30mins of Portland or up to two hours from Portland, depending on what you're looking for.
Colby welcomes you aboard a 17' Koffler driftboat with a capacity for 2 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels.
You will need to buy an Oregon fishing license before the trip. This information is usually online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. This license cost is *not* included in the total price.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well any glass bottles. There will be modest lunch and some light snacks included on board.

I’ve had the opportunity to fish for steelhead with Colby several days on several different rivers and I keep booking more. Colby is a great guide. He knows the rivers, he knows the fish, he has a nice boat, brings great equipment (if you need it). He’s not just a 9-5 guide. He’ll put all the time and effort in he can to give his fisherman the best shot at success. He’s also an easy guy to get along with. If you’re looking for a guide I can whole heartedly recommend Colby. You’ll have a great day of fishing and learn a thing or two (or maybe a lot more) as well.
Hooked four, landed three steelhead with Captain Colby Olson. Floated from Dodge Park to Dabney on the Wild and Scenic corridor of the Sandy River in Oregon. Be prepared to have a great time fishing with Colby. Colby is an excellent and knowledgeable guide with an even better attitude. Never a dull moment.
Colby is a wonderful guide with an immense wealth of knowledge when it comes to steelhead fishing, the local rivers, and fly fishing in general. He is very patient and kind, and has a great sense of humor as well! Would be happy to fish again with him anytime.
A friend and I booked a day trip with Colby. It was a good choice! He got us into some really nice fish. My largest bass to date! Colby is knowledgeable and shares his experience. I always learn something when I spend time with him. 10/10 stars.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 14 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
