Went out for the afternoon trip on Aug 14th. It was a perfect day. Our captain Ryan had great communication throughout the whole process. He got our group of 5 all loaded up and took us out where he thought we could get some troudt. He was very aware of what water temperature should be and where they would be biting. We did pull in 3 smaller King Salmon. Was very good at keeping a lot of lines in and watching them and making changes as needed. He decided to take us in closer to try and catch some larger ones. Continued to make necessary changes in depths, and after a little while, they started biting. He did a great job telling us exactly what to do to not lose it and "we listened" We ended up catching 5 very nice King Salmon and 1 nice Coho Salmon. Total 9 for the day. Captain Ryan did not give up and made sure we got some fish. We all had a great time. Thank you for a awesome experience. We couldnt be more pleased. We will definitely be doing this again with Ryan.

My 2 sons (12 &14) and I took an 6 hr evening charter with Captain Ryan on 8/11/25. We left port near 3PM and got out to a fishing spot and within 15 mins of fishing, we pulled in a large lake trout. The crew was experienced, professional, and worked hard to find and keep us on the fish. We ended up landing 9 king salmon and one lake trout, we released one smaller king (we lost 3-4 fish). We had a blast and learned a bit about fishing for bigger fish. At one point we had two fish hooked at the same time, and my sons had a blast pulling them in. This trip exceeded my expectations in every way, Thanks Captain Ryan! We will be back for more.

We had a great evening out on Lake Michigan With captain Ryan and his first mate Shawn. Everything went smoothly. They took us out to our spot, they put out several different setups and we were fishing. Things were steady fishing and we caught some nice fish thanks to the knowledge and equipment Ryan had on his boat. They set up for different species so your chances are good to catch a variety of fish. The boat was very clean, and set up nicely. We fished for our entire time even through the little rain we got. They did a great job of getting our fish cleaned up at the end of the night. Would Definitely recommend Ryan With Hot Pursuit Charters!

I booked this trip as an anniversary present for my wife. We have not done a Lake Michigan fishing trip before. Ryan was very easy to communicate and prompt in replying once the trip was booked. The trip was perfect! My wife really enjoyed it and so did I. We caught some fish, had some laughs, and just really enjoyed ourselves and the crew. I would 100% recommend Ryan to anyone. He works his tail off to get you on fish and is passionate about his equipment and client experience.

Me and my buddy had an absolute Blast..!!! The boat was super fast.. and had all the latest downriggers..and tech equipment..and state of the art Sonor.. I was super impress with how well the boat was equipped..Even though you’ve got all of the latest equipment you have to still have a super knowledgeable Captain..that knows what he is doing.. and let me tell you.. Ryan definitely fits the bill..!!! We did a 4pm to 9pm (cause Ryan said the Kings were biting more around sunset..) During first 3 hours.. we only caught a tiny trout.. so Ryan and his first mate. We’re constantly changing out different “flashers” (colorful spoons on the end of the lines.. to attract the fish.) and changing the depths of the down riggers..and setting and re-setting up poles..You could tell that Ryan and his mate.. were NOT going to give up..finally the sun was finally going down.. and we switched out to the “glow in the dark”flashers.. and headed to shallower water..and just like Ryan had hoped.. THE KINGS..WERE THERE…!!! You could see them clearly on the big sonar screen.. after about 10 minutes trolling thru with the glow flashers..BAM!. we got our first hit.. and then another.. BAM! ..and another..BAM..!! we had 3 Kings on at…one time!!! our excitement was through the roof..!!!! You could tell that Ryan was super excited for us.. that we got the chance to reel in a couple of really nice Kings.. Thanks to Ryan’s knowledge, skill, and tenacity we actually were able to catch.. 6 really nice fish.. literally in the last 30 minutes.. of our trip.. Thanks Ryan.. for wanting us to catch some , nice Kings.. so badly..and thanks for never giving up..!!! I can tell, that you really love what you do..!! I would definitely be chartering with you.. again.. In the future..!! Thanks Ryan..!! 🙏
