Homestead has a fish with your name on it, so let Off-Ice Charters help you catch it! With Captain Austin at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Redfish, Permit, Tarpon, Black Drum, Great Barracuda, Bonefish, Spotted Seatrout, Snook, and whatever else is biting. For these species, you’re likely to troll using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Austin also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Kids are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

Capt. Austin welcomes you aboard a 19’ East Cape flats boat with space for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Capt. Austin has rods and reels for you.

Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Off-Ice Charters!

8 Hour Trip on February 21, 2024
Lots of great eating fish caught. Larger fish like snook and tarpon weren’t eating the day I went because of how cold it...

I grew up in Pennsylvania and now run trips out of Key Largo aboard a 19' Skiff. I took a trip to Florida to go fishing cause there isn't anything better to do. The first time I was in the Keys, it caught my heart, and I made it a yearly trip into my new home. These waters are known for Redfish and Snapper Snoop, and I will show you how to catch them. I love going into the Everglades and fishing with live bait on a jighead for whatever bites.
