Depending on the time of year, Tuna, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tilefish, and more inhabit these waters if conditions are right. During the trip, you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
You’ll be dropping lines from a 40’ Sportfisher with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a battle saddle, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience, as well as couches, a dining area, and a TV. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Want to bring the rest of the family along for the ride? Kids are welcome aboard, so you’re free to make it a family adventure.

I recently had the pleasure of going on an amazing fishing trip with Captain Nick and First Mate Joey, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we boarded the boat, we knew we were in great hands. Captain Nick is a seasoned pro who clearly knows the waters inside and out. He guided us right to the action, and thanks to his expert knowledge, we landed some incredible catches, including both blue and golden tilefish, which was a real highlight of the trip! First Mate Joey was outstanding, super friendly, helpful, and always quick to assist with baiting lines, giving tips, and making sure everyone was having a great time. The boat was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with top-quality gear. Everything ran smoothly, beyond the fishing, the scenery was beautiful, and both Nick and Joey shared interesting local insights that made the trip even more enjoyable. Hoopers, is highly recommended. They made it a fun, successful, and truly memorable day on the water. We have already booked for another round!

Great family trip!
We had a great time on our 12-hr deep sea trip! They accepted our reservation request one day before our trip when our previous reservation had to cancel due to mechanical issues with the boat. Captain Nick and his first mate did a great job finding and helping us catch the tuna we were hoping for. They were so personable and made the trip a lot of fun, even giving us cooking (or not cooking) tips. This was a family trip and non of us are experienced anglers, they taught us so much and provided just the right amount of assistance. Definitely recommend this boat and crew for everyone looking for a great day fishing!

We were hoping for tuna and the captain and crew did everything possible to get them, but the seas weren't cooperating without the warm water moving north yet. Had a white marlin hit and some Mahi interested. Ended the day catching our limit of blue line tile fish. Great day! Great captain and mate!

Phenomenal experience!
So glad I booked with Captain Nick! He communicated well leading up to the trip and told us what we could reasonably expect based on the current fishing conditions, Both he and his First Mate were extremely knowledgeable and patient with our questions. Highly recommend…I’m already planning another trip!
