Excited to go fishing in Little River? Then Fish Hunter Charters has a trip with your name on it! Captain Scott will be your guide, giving you access to years of sportfishing experience.

These waters are known for Spanish Mackerel, Black Seabass, Amberjack, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Mahi Mahi, Blacktip Shark, and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children are always welcome aboard The Fish Hunter, get them hooked on fishing young! Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly! We always have plenty of water available and will be happy to provide snacks with advanced notice.

Your excursion begins aboard a 31’ Morgan only 15 minutes from the ocean and plenty of room for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as bait and jigs. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work for tips and it’s customary to offer them an 18–20% tip.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed on board but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Amazing trip!

4 Hour Trip – A.M. on May 31, 2025 • 2 adults

My boyfriend and I went out with Captain Scott and his first mate, Parker, and we had an absolute blast!! After being on the water for 15 min, first line out caught a nice Spanish mackerel! Then we went out further, got to watch captain Scott and Parker catch our bait. We then caught about 7 sharp nose sharks! Last line out for the morning caught a huge Soinner Shark that took us for a fun run before biting off the line. It was so exciting to watch this! Both captain Scott and his first mate were so helpful, so kind and educated us on what to do when a fish was on! We will be back for sure :)

Great experience !!! Capt. Scott knows his stuff, It was a rough day for most of the other boats around us while we were nailing the Spanish mackerel. After about 3 hours of trolling and reeling em in we switched to some bottom fishing off shore and he put us right on some sea bass. No keepers but FUN ! My daughter even caught a nice sharp nose shark. When we come back to Myrtle beach, capt Scott is the only charter I’m booking !

Great Time for the Family

Capt Scott and his first mate Parker were great. Started out trolling for mackerel and just kept reeling em in. After our fill there, Scott took us further out for some bottom fishing and all we did was reel em in. Finally, fishing for shark. Scott put us right on them and we had five in the box within five minutes. Catch and release shark the rest of the way. Kids had a blast. Thanks Scott and Parker.

Great Trip!!

Scott and his first mate Parker were great!! They had us on the fish immediately, catching over 20 Spanish Mackerel!! Unfortunately two of the kids in our group weren’t feeling well and we had to cut the trip short, so we couldn’t do any shark fishing. I have no doubt that Scott and Parker would have had us catching Jaws in no time at all!! I highly recommend Fish Hunter Charters!!

Entertaining and Friendly

Scott and Parker were SO fun to be on the boat with! They made our first deep sea fishing experience memorable. They were constantly entertaining us with their jokes and stories of fishing. We appreciate how kind and helpful they were out on the boat. Parker was excited to clean up a shark for us so we could try it for the very first time. Would recommend!!!
