Spend the day with Miss Emily Charters and get hooked on fishing in Johns Island! We set off from Bohicket marina. With Captain Gregg at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Gag Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Pink Snapper, Red Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, and who knows what else!

On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

You'll be dropping lines from a 39' Sportfishing boat, with capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while fishing.

A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
