Come on aboard with AKULA, whose main priority is to get you on some fish. Expect to use techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning, based on the species you’re targeting. You will be fishing for the likes of Coral Trout, Cobia, Cod, Sweetlip, Mackerel, Trevally, Red Emperor, and Nannygai, depending on the specific season and the day’s weather.

Your boat for the day will be a 28’ Alloy Catamaran that is surveyed for 10 anglers, however we choose to cap it at 8 at any one time. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing.

You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught which will be bled, iced and bagged whole for you.

The boat will be supplied with bottled water, and be sure to let the Skipper know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

Private transfers can be arranged for you at an additional cost if you do not have access to a vehicle, including to Port Douglas if you wish to fish departing from there, as we also operate from Port Douglas. Please enquire.
