Make the most of your time in San Antonio and go fishing with Gonzalez Guide Service. Captain Roland will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from years of professional experience.
These waters are known for Redfish, Catfish, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Your day begins aboard a 24’ Pathfinder bay boat that can carry up to 5 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t leave home without sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Roland is a pro and made a great trip for us
Captain Roland is professional, knows fishing, very helpful, on-time and made it a great trip! We caught many fish, and some of that is because of Captain Roland. He tried various spots and methods. He answered all of our questions. The boat was nice and comfortable especially with the cover when it got warm outside. Captain Roland also had invested in equipment that helped with fishing. We had a perfect day with our 9 & 22 year-olds, so a boat for all ages. Thanks again Captain Roland!

Amazing Experience

Roland was an exceptional guide. He knew the lake very well and worked hard to get the fish on the line. It seemed like it was a slow day for everyone out there, but we managed to bring in 3 red drum and 3 huge blue cats. Highly recommend this guide.
