Pacific Fishing & Tours is here to show you the stunning waters of Nuevo Vallarta. Your guide for the day is Captain Carlos, which means you’ll tap into years of professional experience.

Amberjack, Pacific Barracuda, Bonito, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), African Pompano Jack, Jack Crevalle, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Sierra Mackerel, and more are in the cards if conditions are right. For these species, you’re likely to troll using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Carlos also offers kite fishing.

Your fishing machine for the day is a 22’ Hydra-Sport walkaround that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.

Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.

great day

8 Hour Trip on January 19, 2026 • 4 adults

we lucked out with a overcast day, 29 deg in January. we booked an 8hr trip which included deep see, we wanted to catch a sailfish, mahi or rooster. we didnt get nay monsters, but that wasnt for lack of trying. captain Mitchell tried everything he knew, we had 6 lines out majority of the time. Caught 11 fish, skipjacks, spanish mackerel and trigger fish. all 4 guests reeled in fish. capt made us ceviche on the boat on the ride back to the marina with 2 of our tunas, amazing and so fresh. boat is great space for 4 with crew, plus the lower bathroom is a major plus for the ladies. 100% recommend. Mitchell and Tony were great and knowledgeable, price is fair. we were actually on the boat for 9.5hrs. mucho gracias.

Crevalle Jack Battle in the Bay

4 Hour Trip – Sunset on January 3, 2026 • 1 adult • 2 children

We were on an afternoon trip. Shortly after leaving the marina, we saw whales! After a long troll out, we ended up chilling in the middle of the bay with live bait on the rod. We ended up with a big Crevalle Jack on the hook and my 12 year old son took almost an hour to reel it in, all by himself! He was exhausted after the fight, his muscles were in full fatigue. What a memory for him, though. Thanks for the fantastic afternoon of fishing!

Fishing Trip of a Lifetime! 10/10⭐️ would recommend

4 Hour Trip (AM) on December 13, 2025 • 2 adults

Jorge, Mich & Ivan were the very best! We did a 4hr trip and caught a nice Crevalle Jack! We came back for more the next day for a longer trip! They were all so helpful and made us feel at home on the boat. They are very knowledgeable and you can tell they love what they do. We caught lots of fish including more Crevalle Jack and Skipjack tuna, but the main star of the show was the incredible 9ft 9in Blue Marlin we landed! It was the fishing trip of a lifetime & an experience we will always treasure. Jorge made fresh ceviche with skipjack we caught and it was easily the best ceviche we have ever eaten!! Overall it was an amazing experience & we can't recommend these guys enough!

Best Ceviche ever!

We had a great day with Mitchell and Jorge! Jorge worked hard and loves to fish. We got on fish soon after leaving the marina. Small, medium and large Bonita. One right after the other. Our friends had never fished before, and must have thought fishing was easy! This was a top 5 day on the water. We didn't catch any Dorado today,but we saw whales and porpoises while we ate fresh ceviche and tosatadas on the way back home. Jorge prepared it beautifully, and it was the best ceviche ever! I will fish with them again.

1st day inshore 2nd day offshore

10 Hour Trip – Offshore on October 30, 2025 • 2 adults

I went for six hours inshore hoping to catch a roster fish. We didn't have any luck with the rosters as they were at the end of the season. We caught some skipjacks and had a delicious meal of ceviche on the boat. It was a great day. The second day I took my daughter and we went for a 10 hour offshore trip. We missed some yellow fin tuna and a Marlin. A sea lion did not help us out when we were on the Marlin which was disappointing. We caught a small Dorado and some more Skip Jacks. Had some more Ceviche. When we got back to the marina the fish were filleted and we took the fillets back to the resort we were staying at for supper. Mitch's ceviche was better than the ceviche that the resort made us. Thanks for the wonderful trip and hope to go fishing with you again on our next trip.
