Amberjack by Amberjack Sportfishing 

My family of 6 decided to fish with the Amberjack for our trip to Costa Rica based on all of the solid reviews. Capt Carlos and First Mate Dennis were amazing! the boat was extremely comfortable and the gear was top of the line Penn and Shimanos! Capt Carlos and First Mate Dennis worked hard for us all day and ran far to get us to the fish! We landed 3 beautiful sailfish, had several more bites and finished the day catching groupers and tile fish to eat. 3 drops and we had all the fish we wanted to eat! First mate Dennis made us lunch on the boat as well as fresh fruit, chips and salsa for snacks! they had plenty of cold drinks for us including water, a variety of fruit juices, a variety of soft drinks, and of course cold beer! Wonderful fishing with theses guys! will definitely fish with them again next time we come down here! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Hi, I highly recommend this Crew and boat. Everything was amazing from the start. The crew communicated and answered all my questions up until the day of the trip. Crew, Carlos, Dennis and Brandon were so accommodating and genuine, always putting us first and their top priority. The day started as planned Sun was bright and expectations were high as we left the harbor I knew the wind would play a big part of the day and it did, as later morning came the wind and swell intensified and crew made sure we were ok and kept us top priority. My better half started to get sea sick and once again the crew Dennis and Brandon were attentive to the situation and making every effort to make the experience enjoyable for her and me…..At about 11am the captain yells out 'Pez Bella' 'Pez Bella' and it was on!!!!! my sweatheart snaps out of the sea sick and becomes the videographer and once again the crew went into topnotch outfit and met all of our expectations and handled every set of having a fish of a lifetime or trophy bost side, putting my hands on such a beautiful fish while photos and video was happening I cant describe the emotions i had for life at the momment!!!! I had just lost my father 30 days earlier and this was a moment as to something blessing me from a higher place, the Sailfish was beautiful and a reminder that life is short and beautiful so enjoy it and fish it well. I am still on cloud nine and planning the next trip and yes!!!! will be with this Amazing crew Carlos, Dennis and Brandon onboard the Amberjack!!!!! Thank you all for now till we do it again!!!

We had a great day on the water and could not have asked for a more hardworking crew. From the moment we left the dock, everything that was within the crew's control was well managed and executed. We were fishing during less-than-optimal wind and water conditions, and it was also the off-peak season for Marlin. Even so, we asked the captain to make a run at Marlin, and he worked tirelessly to put us in the best possible water while skillfully navigating us out of the wind. Throughout the day, the crew kept us informed of conditions, strategy, and options, which made the experience both engaging and educational. Despite the challenging conditions, we had an exciting moment when we hooked a sailfish. My wife fought the fish all the way to within about 30 meters of the boat before it threw the hook in a spectacular aerial jump, an unforgettable highlight of the trip. Later in the day, we shifted tactics and targeted grouper and other species, and the crew once again delivered, helping us successfully land several fish. Fishing always involves variables beyond anyone's control, but what truly stands out is how hard the captain and crew worked to make the day enjoyable and productive regardless of conditions. Their effort, and communication made the trip a success, and we would gladly fish with them again.

Had a great full day off shore trip. Caught Sailfish, Mahi, Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, and several others. Captain and crew were very friendly, helpful, and flexible with what we were hoping to do. Boat was very nice with good shade, good indoor cover if rain, good toilet,…. Lunch, snacks, and drinks way better than you would ever expect on a fishing charter (very nice). All spoke english and easy to communicate with. Amber is great to deal with when booking. Repeat customers with this boat, and will repeat again.

Captain and Crew are the best I have ever seen. We were asked what fish we wanted to target and for two days that's exactly what we caught. The mates work exceptionally hard! For two days I never seen a bait trolled imperfect for more than 10 seconds before it was changed.Besides fishing their hospitality was second to none, always making snacks are grabbing drinks for us. They really really go above and beyond. If you're looking to catch fish and be in company of the friendliest group of guys there are this is the charter for you.
