  sailfish dream come true

  Full Day Trip-Offshore or Inshore on August 26, 2026 • 5 adults

  It’s been a long time personal dream to try to catch sailfish and we decided to make a family trip to Costa Rica and booked a couple days fishing while we were there. conditions were tough due to El Niño, super dry, hot and windy , but the captain Julio and first mate Brandon worked really hard to catch fish. Ended up catching four sailfish in all, my son also caught a tuna, and we caught a few other fish such as grouper and snapper. The crew really did a great job and pretty much did everything that we asked for. I’ve been on many different charters and this was by far the most full service one I have been on! Definitely recommend, excellent overall.

  Epic Costa Rican Offshore Trip

  3/4 Day- Offshore or Inshore on August 5, 2026 • 3 adults • 1 child

  My two boys and I had an epic ¾ day offshore charter with Amberjack. Captain Carlos and First Mate Denis worked hard as a team to deliver a great experience. I told them I wanted to target Sailfish and Mahi and they delivered! We landed our first of three sailfish in less than 30 minutes after they deployed the trolling gear. Then it was on to mahi and we hooked one up quickly. Then we switched gear and hauled in 15 plus grouper plus a couple of tilefish. The crew also took good care of us with plenty of drinks, snacks and some tasty shredded beef burritos. My older son was feeling under the weather from food poisoning the day before and the crew did their best to keep him comfortable as well. The boat was well equipped with quality gear, a large sunshade, clean toilet and comfortable cabin. In summary, we had a great time and would heartily recommend this outfitter to others.

  One if a kind experience!

  My family of 6 decided to fish with the Amberjack for our trip to Costa Rica based on all of the solid reviews. Capt Carlos and First Mate Dennis were amazing! the boat was extremely comfortable and the gear was top of the line Penn and Shimanos! Capt Carlos and First Mate Dennis worked hard for us all day and ran far to get us to the fish! We landed 3 beautiful sailfish, had several more bites and finished the day catching groupers and tile fish to eat. 3 drops and we had all the fish we wanted to eat! First mate Dennis made us lunch on the boat as well as fresh fruit, chips and salsa for snacks! they had plenty of cold drinks for us including water, a variety of fruit juices, a variety of soft drinks, and of course cold beer! Wonderful fishing with theses guys! will definitely fish with them again next time we come down here! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

  Great Trip, Crew, Boat

  Had a great full day off shore trip. Caught Sailfish, Mahi, Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, and several others. Captain and crew were very friendly, helpful, and flexible with what we were hoping to do. Boat was very nice with good shade, good indoor cover if rain, good toilet,…. Lunch, snacks, and drinks way better than you would ever expect on a fishing charter (very nice). All spoke english and easy to communicate with. Amber is great to deal with when booking. Repeat customers with this boat, and will repeat again.

  Captain and Crew are the best I have ever seen. We were asked what fish we wanted to target and for two days that’s exactly what we caught. The mates work exceptionally hard! For two days I never seen a bait trolled imperfect for more than 10 seconds before it was changed.Besides fishing their hospitality was second to none, always making snacks are grabbing drinks for us. They really really go above and beyond. If you’re looking to catch fish and be in company of the friendliest group of guys there are this is the charter for you.
