Our captain "Carlos" is a highly experiences fishing captain on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica as well as an experienced tournament fisherman. He is known as one of the premier captains of Guanacaste and is sure to put you on the fish. We are a locally-owned and operated sportfishing and ocean tours company located in Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica. We are not only passionate about sharing the beauty and excitement of our coastal paradise but also deeply rooted in a legacy of serious fishermen and women. The "Amber" in Amberjack is co-owner/founder of the business. The Amberjack company is a union of dreams: Owning a sportfishing charter boat & running a company that creates jobs for local people using sustainable fishing mwthods and leaving a positive impact on the environment and community. Julio is a partner in the business. Also a licensed Captain, Julio is the master creator of the “magic” our clients experience at Amberjack Tours on each private charter. He has more than 15 years of experience as a sport fisherman and working at sea, and more than 20 years working in the Costa Rican tourism industry. Julio most enjoys creating unforgettable encounters between clients and the sea
- Techniques
- We offer offshore (deep sea) and inshore private charter options. We often travel out 40+ miles during offshore charters to get you where you have the best chances of catching the giant sailfish, marlin, and tuna. All billfish species are sustainably fished and safely released back into the sea. Inshore fishing can be combine various styles including trolling, casting and bottom fishing. We love to take clients rooster fishing during our inshore charter trips.
