Make the most of your time in Columbus and go fishing with Riley’s Guide Services. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jared knows them forwards and back.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Striped Bass, Catfish, Spotted Bass, White Bass, Crappie, and plenty more. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.
Capt. Jared welcomes you aboard a 22’ Xpress center console that can carry up to 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is not covered by the charter boat, if you are a non Alabama resident please purchase a 1 day freshwater fishing license via the Georgia License site. If you are an Alabama reaident, please purchase your license ia the outdoor Alabama web site.
Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don’t leave home without a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

2 Hour Trip – Late Afternoon
Wonderful Fishing Trip
We went out with Captain Jared for an evening trip on the Chattahoochee to help us locate some good spots for catfish. After catching some live shad for bait, we went to the 1st location...within 5 minutes of having the line in the water, my wife hooked into a huge flathead...from there we caught more fish and located several other good spots. I fully recommend Captain Jared! He was very personable, professional, & knows where the fish are. We had a ball! :-)

I took my son and his cousin fishing with Jared Riley and we had a wonderful day! Jared was easy to talk to, great with his equipment and put us in a number of places to catch skipjack, hybrid and striped bass. The morning couldn’t have been more fun!
