Over the past 15 years, no charter Captain in the Mid Atlantic has run more fishing charters than Captain Greg Buckner, his fleet of Miss Susie Charter fishing boats are all 46ft long and licensed for up to 24 passengers per boat.
Experience matters and being at the correct port of departure at the correct time of year is absolutely vital. We fish out of 5 different ports throughout the year to always be at the best location.
March 10 thru August 5 we will be picking our groups up at The Jitney Dock at East Potomac Park in Washington DC. We will be fishing for the tasty and plentiful Blue Catfish. Customers will be casting their line with a chunk of fresh cut bait and reeling in numbers of these abundant non native fish.
Trips with Miss Susie Charters are fun for all ages, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll be casting lines from a 46' Markley boat with space for 24 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Greg will supply rods and reels for you.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Took one of my customers out and his crew, we caught our limit of Striper in less than an hour. We then proceeded to catch 46 catfish and 2 perch. We also caught an additional 15-20 striper we had to release as well as a stingray. 11 people each got to take home 3-4 pounds of fish per person. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 30 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
