Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You'll be dropping lines from a 20' Willie Predator aluminum fishing boat that can carry up to 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. It's recommended to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We brought our whole family inclding a baby and all the kids enjoyed the boat ride and beautiful views. The trout in that river get big bring your A game so you don’t miss your shot.

Kenai River AM – Sockeye Salmon on August 17, 2023Had an awesome trip with Captain Corey, he got the other clients and I on some excellent red fishing. The gear was top notch and Corey got us a spot one of the best corners on the river. Once we got back to the dock he filleted the reds so fast it was unbelievable. Overall it was a delightful day on the Kenai, had the best guide service, a sunny day, and phenomenal fishing.

What a great time we had, after limiting out we went up river and fished Rainbows (catch& release) it was fantastic what beautiful fish here on the Kenai. Full Day Trip – Kasilof King Salmon on May 18, 2021Beautiful morning float down the Kasilof River, It was a clear and chilly morning but our guide had prepared us to dress warm. Captain Corey worked his butt off rowing and the boat landed 5 king salmon that day! Wonderful day and pristine scenery! The end of the trip they pull the boat across the mud to get it onto the trailer, pretty cool to watch!

Tough fishing day on lower Kenai. No Sockeye Salmon to be had. Good Captain and good spot. But run ended early this year.

We had a great time fishing on the Kenai! Best wishing I’ve ever had - we limited on sockeye in an hour!
