You'll be fishing aboard a 27' Sport-Craft with room for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a porta-potty on board for your convenience. Capt. Dave has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

God blessed us with nothing short of a perfect day on the water today with Dave and Randy as our guides! We were greeted at the dock area by these two down-to-earth, friendly gentlemen who were all prepped and ready to make our experience the best it could be. The weather was perfect, the fish were biting, and our guides were working their tails off keeping us safe, on the fish, and out of other fishermen’s way. We were able to jump in and help out with netting and unhooking the fish, and both gentlemen were more than happy to answer questions and teach us a small part of their trade. When we made mistakes and let a few nice fish get off at the very end of our battle due to our inexperience, they were gracious and patient with an explanation of why that happened and how to fix it the next time. Our family group was a bit unconventional with a couple middle-aged gals, a couple young men who had just graduated high school, and a 20 year old girl. We all love to fish but had never experienced Lake Errie or Walleye fishing before. Thanks to Dave and Randy for making one of our bucket list items better than we could have expected. Lord willing we will be back and will highly recommend Sea Eagle Charters to anyone looking for a great fishing trip! Thanks for guiding us to limit out in just four hours! We won’t forget the memories made today.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Fishing Charter Experience! We had an amazing fishing trip with David. He is a very knowledgeable angler and worked hard to help us find fish throughout the day. Thanks to his guidance, we caught a great variety of fish, including walleye, white perch, yellow perch, catfish, and sheephead. David was patient, friendly, and always willing to share tips to improve our fishing success. His experience on the water really showed, and he made sure everyone had a great time. As a veteran, David brings professionalism, dedication, and a positive attitude to the trip, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a fishing charter with an experienced captain who knows how to put you on fish, I highly recommend David. We had a fantastic day and would definitely book another trip with him in the future! 🎣🐟
These guys are great, definitely know what they’re doing and were there to help every step of the way. Captain and crew were very down to earth and took an interest in us as more than just customers. We limited out on Walleye and my 14 year old son had the best time. 27” monster!!! We will definitely be going out with these guys again, drove from Ft Worth TX based off great reputation and believe us he’s earned it!
Wonderful first experience! David was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and personable. David also gave our crew the opportunity to help hookset and net our fish. I also appreciated the communication efforts he had with us prior to our trip. His fish cleaning and fillet services were a big bonus as well! Would 100% recommend!
Couldn't jave asked for a better day on Lake Erie. Weather was perfect, fish were bitng, and Captain Dave was great! He pu us on the fish and we got thm in the boat. If yo are considering bookin Sea Eagle Charters and Captain Dave, do it. You wont regret it. We will definitely be back.
