Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Walleye, and who knows what else! On these trips, you can expect to troll.

Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to maintain your energy throughout the trip!

You’ll be fishing aboard a 27’ Sport-Craft with room for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a porta-potty on board for your convenience. Capt. Dave has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. It’s never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
