If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks!
Your boat for the day is a 20' Warrior dual console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials.
Capt. Chris will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. My wife and I booked a charter with Chris on the Detroit River for my birthday. He was super knowledgeable, easygoing, and made us feel comfortable asking anything. Chris taught us a lot about jigging for walleye on a tough bite. We put fish in the boat! He is knowledgeable and personable and made us comfortable on a windy day. I will definitely go out with him again soon!
Chris is a fantastic captain. I highly recommend. Fishing was tough but Chris was able to get us on fish in not ideal conditions. He was a patient mentor when teaching the fishing techniques we were using. Chris was focused on his clients having an enjoyable fishing experience. I will definitely book him again in the future.
