Local species include Amberjack, Red Grouper, Red Snapper, Redfish, Sailfish, Tarpon, Gag Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), and more if conditions are right. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Trips with Scale Time Fishing Charters are kid-friendly, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 24’ Mako center console that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Great day
My wife and I along with our friend took a trip and these guys did great. They kept us baited up and we caught fish. Got to see a sea turtle and dolphins. You can’t go wrong with this crew. Thank y’all very much for a great day and memories made.

Excellent Experience
Captain Wyatt and Mickey were amazing with our group of three. I had the opportunity to take my son and my father on a morning excursion with Wyatt and Mickey during a busy Memorial Day Weekend. Caught our limit on snapper, several grouper, mahi mahi, triggerfish and amberjack all in three hours of fishing. We will be back.

Spring break fishing trip
So glad we booked this fishing trip on spring break. We caught all kinds of fish the entire time and have everyone had a great time. I highly recommend Scale Time fishing. Wyatt and Micky are fantastic. We definitely will be going back with these guys, they are very knowledgeable.
