These waters are known for Great Barracuda, Black Drum, Cobia, Goliath Grouper, Pompano, Tripletail, Tarpon, Spotted Seatrout, Spanish Mackerel, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, Hammerhead Shark, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few! On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Trips with Reel Thrills Fishing Charters are kid-friendly, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You’re welcome to bring snacks!
Your adventure begins aboard a 25’ Sea Pro center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don’t leave home without sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Erix put us on nice trout and catfish today. He was so good with my two grandchildren. We kept him busy baiting and taking the fish off of the hooks. He has a new boat and had very good tackle for us to use. I highly recommend Erix as your guide. My grandson asked if there were Hammerhead Sharks in the area, because that was his dream to catch one. He did catch one and so did I. We warmed up catching a ton of catfish. He was very knowledgeable of the areas we fished. Oh and by the way, the fish we caught and he clean for us were delicious. Erix is a good Christian Man. Tight lines!!

We had an absolutely amazing time out on the water with Captain Erix! From start to finish, the experience was smooth, exciting, and incredibly fun. Our family of 4 had a great time. We caught 7 Goliath grouper, snapper, nurse shark, and another type of shark - along with lots of bait fish. Captain Erix was amazing with my 2 kids and made sure we all had a great time. I’d definitely recommend and would go again. He made the entire trip fun and we had some great memories and conversation.

Our first father-and-son fishing charter was an amazing experience! The weather was perfect, making for a great day on the water. Captain Erix was fantastic—patient, knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher. He took the time to explain everything and made sure we both had a great experience, whether it was learning new techniques or landing fish. We made some unforgettable memories together and couldn't have asked for a better first charter. Highly recommend!

Captain Erix should be your first choice when looking for someone to take you fishing for the day. Erix was knowledgeable, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time on the water. We caught too many fish to count, and a couple we had never seen before! He took the time to take us to a couple different spots to catch a variety of fish. He was patient with our 3 kids and helped all of us when needed. We can’t wait to do it all again!
