Captain Rio Adventures invites you to sign up for a day of amazing fishing down in South Florida. You can book a trip for the next day on the morning charters up until 9:30 pm the night before .
Capt. Rio doesn’t just go out to fish he goes out to catch big ones and make memories while doing so. He can also show you the beautiful beaches and wildlife that this part of the country is known for.
You’ll be fishing on his 23’ Cobia Boats center console that’s powered by a single 200 HP Suzuki outboard and a 36-volt Minkota Ulterra trolling motor with spot lock. Thanks to the fact that the Suzuki motor can reach a top speed of an impressive 40 knots, you’ll be on the fishing grounds in a snap. And if you need a restroom, I can get you to a marina within 10 to 15 minutes. With enough room for 6 people to fish in comfort, it’s a great option for when you want to bring the entire family along for the ride.
You really don’t have to go far to catch some great fish here and there’s a whole variety of 'em to go after. These include Redfish and Snook to Jack Crevalle, Grouper, Snapper, and even Tarpon when the season hits. You also have the option to do some birdwatching which can be fun for the whole family. The Ten Thousand Islands hold at least as many noteworthy sights.
Your comfort is Capt. Rio’s prime directive so not only can you expect all the necessary fishing gear to be waiting on board but fish cleaning services are also included in the price.
We provide ice with a nice clean ice chest, bring your own drinks,beer wine ok , snacks, food for the trip. This as close as you can get to fishing in our beautiful 10,000 Islands. don’t delay!

HALF DAY CHARTER 4 HRS on May 6, 2026Caught some fish… not a ton, but we had a great time and great company! Captain Rio was honest from the start and told us that it’s all catch and release right now, but we still had an awesome day out on the water. He’s funny, entertaining, and made the whole trip enjoyable. He really tried to make sure we caught at least a grouper before coming in, which we appreciated! The tide was definitely not our friend, but we still had a blast. Some days you can’t catch ’em all, but any day on the water is a good day — and Captain Rio did a great job! Great experience for sure!

Captain leaves from his house on Marco Island which made it extremely convenient from our house on Marco Island. We started out navigating out of the canals into mangroves where we immediately set to catching fish for bait. In 30 minutes my son and I each had caught over 5 fish each including catfish, snook, mangrove snapper. We then moved on to a deeper fishing spot to go for the big fish. We both caught Goliath Grouper. We had to cut our trip a little short because of the rain but by the end of the day we each had caught over 11 fish each. Great day of fishing. My son had a blast

With no set agenda and no plans, we decided on the second to last day of our Marco Island vacation to try for a charter the morning we were to leave for home. Although not impossible, we knew it was a long shot. Imagine our surprise when we were able to book Captain Rio for a two hour inshore charter. That sent us over the moon; my wife and I love to fish and it fit right into our day. Communicating with Capt. Rio was easy and informative, and when we arrived the next morning, we found a friendly and personable captain, the boat clean, and gear ready to fish. As we motored out to open water, Capt. Rio entertained us with stories and jokes, making us fast friends. Even as the water was calm, my wife was a little queasy and he was more than accommodating on the throttle. As we eased up to each spot, we immediately started catching fish. Snapper, grouper, and even pigfish. Our lines were never without bait, our rods always bent under the weight of a fish. As we motored back, we were joined by two dolphins as Capt. Rio’s boat provided the wake for their surfing fun. From his stories to his jokes, to his knowledge of the water and fishing expertise, we thoroughly enjoyed our time on his boat. Do we plan to vacation in Marco again? Certainly. But not without booking with Capt. Rio again. See you soon, Rio.

Been to Marco a few times but never went fishing while here. My son and I decided this would be the trip. Captain Rio was amazing. You could tell he was knowledgeable and experienced right from the start. He put us on fish right right away. I mentioned to Captain Rio that I had never caught a Grouper and would like to catch one if possible, sure enough he took us right to one of his spots and within 10 minutes we had a nice Grouper in the boat. Even more important than that, he was great with my son. I highly recommend Captain Rio and will definitely be reaching out to him next time we are in Marco!!
I love what I do Chris! You knew how to fight the Goliath Grouper and your boy Joe got to feel the Tarpon running off! Three Tarpon got on the hook and Three Tarpon threw the hook! We had an amazing experience with Captain Rio! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our family had a great time, especially our children. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and friendly, making beginner fishers feel comfortable and confident, while keeping safety a top priority. His ability to connect with the kids and tailor the trip to our family's needs made the day even more special. Our kids will NEVER forget the Marco trip that dad caught a shark!
