Looking to catch some fish in Edgewater? That's what Bay Hunter II is here for! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Mason can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Striped Bass, Bluefish, Black Seabass, Catfish, White Perch, Spanish Mackerel, and plenty more. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You'll be welcome aboard a 45' Downeast with space for 38 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now's the time to experience fishing in Edgewater for yourself, with Bay Hunter II!

We went out on a morning trip. We caught plenty of Rockfish. We could only keep one, but we had great time catching and releasing the other fish. We also caught plenty of Spot. Most was kept for bait, but what we kept was plenty. Capt. Mason and first mate Mike did a great job. Capt. Mason put us on the fish, and first mate Mike took care of attending to our needs with the fish and rods. We had a great time and are planning on going out again real soon.

we had a great day with you all. looking forward to next time!
We had a blast! Both Captain and Mate were very accommodating to myself and my children!

we had a great time with yall and hope to you in the future!

I recently had the pleasure of going on a fishing trip with Captain mason, and I can't recommend him highly enough! From the moment we boarded the boat, it was clear that he is not only an expert fisherman but also a fantastic guide. Captain mason has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the local waters and the best fishing spots. He took the time to explain various techniques and was patient with those of us who were less experienced. His enthusiasm for fishing is contagious, and it really made the trip enjoyable for everyone on board. The equipment was top-notch, and he ensured that we were all comfortable and safe throughout the trip. We caught a variety of fish, and he even helped us with tips on how to reel them in effectively. Plus, he was more than willing to take photos of us with our catches, which made for some great memories! Overall, Captain mason provided an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated fishing captain, look no further. I can’t wait to book another trip with him!
Mason and crew were great to deal with from when we first booked to when we were finished with the trip. We had limited time to go on a fishing charter for a bachelor party so unfortunately we had to go at the wrong time of year. They did everything they could to put us on fish. Although the fishing was lousy, I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking, very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable!
I booked a trip with Mason in June 2024. Mason was very accommodating and extremely laid back. He’s the youngest captain I’ve ever seen but handled himself like a well seasoned veteran charter captain. We didn’t catch our limit but I don’t hold that to the boat, it was just an off day that the fish didn’t want to cooperate. The boat was clean, wide with plenty of space to move and some decent tackle to use. I will be recommending this boat and crew for everyone I come in contact with. You won’t be disappointed and will make some great memories.

Captain Mason comes from a long-line of fishermen. He was born and raised around the Chesapeake Bay, fishing it his whole life. Mason has learned from the best and is excited to share his skills, knowledge and passion with you!
