Topwater Sportfishing GT Charters welcomes you to the stunning waters of Cairns.
These waters are known for Black Marlin, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel, Coral Trout, Giant Trevally, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, and more – with any luck, it won’t take long to hook into some. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Jason also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Trips with Topwater Sportfishing GT Charters are kid-friendly, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your adventure begins aboard a 25’ Contender center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
