Mark Crutcher provides a top notch experience that is head and shoulders above the rest. I have hired several Clear Lake trips and I will not go back to anyone but Mark, from now on. Mark not only provides an amazing service, but he's an incredible person, with a wealth of Pro Tourney experience. Mark provides the highest quality equipment, including snacks & water, and a wealth of knowledge. Not only did we catch fish all day long, but we had some great conversations and I learned so much about bass fishing in general, the bass fishing pro circuits, and he helped me tremendously with various techniques. I had a great time with Mark searching for bass at Clearlake! Mark taught me how to be a better bass fisherman, how to drive a bass boat, and use some different lures, techniques and a baitcaster (which I'm new to). I grew up with spinning reels, but briefly made time to go over some basics on baitcasting. I appreciated the company, friendliness, and got to see a huge 7 lb bass caught!

Captain Mark was the best! He knew all the great spots and taught me and my 12-year old so much! He was so friendly and we caught a lot of bass. I cannot recommned enough as this was the highlight of our trip.

A friend of mine and I went out with Mark on a cool blustery day, early season, in March. The first thing Mark wants to do is make sure you have a good experience and catch what you want. Myself had never fished for largemouth before, many other species, but not this. Mark was very good at instruction on technique and baits. This guy never slowed down making sure we were rigged, baited and on spot. We were having a hard time getting fish to react, and Mark never quit, we kept checking holes till we struck gold. Found some good average size then hit a nice 7.5 lb bass. And things turned around. Back at the dock we talked to several others who had been out, either nothing or 1 or 2. If you want a great experience, a lot of fun, and good fish Mark is your man. Also the guy is great with kids! Thank you Mark we will be back!

I booked my trip with Mark due to his solid reviews on the app. My best friend and I are making some big life changing moves and knew that another fishing trip like this wouldn't come for a long time and wanted to have a "one last" one before it happened. Mark was a great guide and very easygoing. It was much relaxing as it was fun. We caught more numbers in the morning and in the afternoon we were able to get on a frog bite and I caught a nice 4lb14oz bass. We overall had a great experience with Mark!

Absolutely incredible experience! My stepfather and I agreed this was the best fishing trip of our lives. We caught over 40 bass! No exaggeration! There were moments when we were casting and catching nonstop. Mark Crutcher was an outstanding guide... professional, friendly, and made us feel completely comfortable the entire time. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a phenomenal day on the water. Highly, highly recommend Mark Crutcher Fishing! Can’t wait to go again!

The day started slow but Mark continued to work to figure out the pattern that paid off. It wasn't the points, it wasn't the creeks, wasn't the tulli! It was the walls and rocks for a 40 fish day! This was a fantastic guided fishing trip. Mark's boat and fishing equipmet were top notch and his knowledge of the lake was impressive. Mark is very friendly and patient and the stories he told added to the overall experience. I would highly recommend booking a trip with Mark if you get the chance.

When I booked the trip, the forecast said we were looking at a high of 93 degrees. But, Mother Nature had other ideas and a cold front moved in. When we launched at 7 a.m., it was a crisp 48 degrees! Winds kicked up pretty quickly and only got stronger as the day went on. Originally I was hoping to get on a good frog bite, but, when the conditions change, you have to adapt. Mark understood this as well and took care of us. My GF really hasn't fished before, so he patiently gave her some instruction and soon after that, she got her first fish cranking over a shallow grass flat. Once the winds got really bad, he took us into some sloughs, coves and canals where I caught a bunch of fish flipping into shallow cover. Mark was bummed that my PB wasn't tucked back into the weeds where we were flipping, but I told him that I understood with the wind and cold temperatures, they aren't as predictable as we'd like. It's just the nature of the game. Mark is a great guy. We traded tips, tricks and countless fish stories. He's patient, willing to teach, knows the lake like the back of his hand and most of all, he kept us safe when conditions got rough. Can't wait to schedule our next trip with him.

Captain Mark knew several hot spots on Clear Lake and we caught bass at all of them. My largest catch was a 7-8 pounder. I caught a few more in the 3-5 pound range and many (10?) smaller bass. My wife also caught multiple bass. Mark was patient, helping with keeping lures on our lines and was brilliant at getting us off snags. He was very personable and a lot of fun. I would gladly book him again!
