If you’re ready to discover fishing in Cabo San Lucas, look no further than Cabo Sportfishing Crew. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Ruben knows them forwards and back.

There’s no guarantee when you’re fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Wahoo, Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, Sailfish, Pacific Barracuda, Swordfish, and more with any luck. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!

Capt. Ruben runs a 31’ Uniflite sportfishing boat with a capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with a fighting chair and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

It’s never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.

We have decent experience fishing, but even for begginers its perfect they explain how to reel and catch the fish perfectly even if youve never fished before this was an experience of a lifetime. family or friends go with Robalo great crew and they know what theyre doing, completely safe and friendly whether its your first or hundreth time fishing. Amazing Day of Fishing!

Half Day Trip – All Inclusive (AM) on November 17, 2025 • 4 adults

This was our first trip for myself and two friends in Cabo. We were not sure what to expect but hoped for the best. Our experience was way beyond my expectations! The communication with the charter was top notch and they kept us informed with what to bring, where to meet and what tourist traps to avoid. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the captain and led to the Robalo (RO-Bah-Low). Very nice boat. Very clean and loaded with very expensive gear. We knew this was a professional outfit! (You will see a few as you enter that are not run this way). We were told they had caught Marlin the day before but this is fishing and not always as lucky. We hooked the first Marlin about two hours in and what a fight, estimated 130 pounds. My buddy hooked one about an hour later and reeled that one in. Estimated 125 pounds. We started heading back in and really wanted his wife to catch something as she had watched us catch these amazing fish. She hooked the catch of the day and with the help of her husband, brought in an estimated 140 pound Marlin. Three of us and we all caught a fish that will be in our memory forever. Can't say enough good things about this captain, crew and outfit. If you are looking for a courteous, professional and affordable day out fishing in Cabo, book this crew.

Epic Day! Massive Sailfish to Mount

Full Day Trip – All Inclusive on October 19, 2025 • 2 adults

WOW! WHAT A DAY! Slayed em with Cabo Sportfishing on boat Robalo! Booked an All Day trip. About an hour in caught a small Dorado. But then....Boom! A large Sailfish. Then within the next hour a HUGE Sailfish! Took 20 minutes to land it. Deck Hand Freddy,' That's a huge Sailfish! One of the biggest I have ever caught. You should mount it' I took his advice. :) I don't know where I'm going to hang it though! LOL! Then around 9:45 am as we were trolling back towards the Sea of Cortez in the Pacific side. Boom Again! Captin Ruben is a master at seeing fish and knowing when they strike from his tower. Nice Striped Marlin was jumping out of the water about 75 yards away from the boat then pulled my line to maybe 200! Real spinning like mad! Freddy told me the four other boats in the company had only gotten one Dorado between the four of them as of 10:00am. What's the difference....? Possibly experience and knowledge. Freddy has been fishing as a Deck Hand for over15 years. Captain Ruben, I think over 25 years. They know the waters and conditions and where to go, what tackle to use, and how fast to troll. Never lost a fish. Hooks set! They were both cheering me on as I fought the fish. So Fun! Freddy joked, 'Its because you gave us a big tip BEFORE we left dock.' LOL! Needless to say I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cabo Sportfishing and Captain Ruben and his Deck Hand Freddy! for you next time fishingin CaboSan Lucas! I am! God Bless and Good Fishing.

Great boat and crew.

5Hrs All Inclusive + Transfer (AM) on September 29, 2025 • 2 adults

Captain Rubin and Freddy are a great team. We had scheduled a 5 hour trim with transfer. SUV driver picked us up at hotel and dropped at pier where a rep from Cabo Sport fishing met us and escorted us to the boat. Captain told us what trip would involve. Short trip to fishing grounds. After 90 minutes trolling we hooked a 80# sailfish. Freddy was very good with showing my wife how to land the fish. Soon after I landed a 120# monster and my wife landed another 80+# fish and again Freddy was great assistant helping her land the fish. The boat is good enough for small group. You can see from the pics its layout. I would recommend the boat and the crew for a great fishing trip in Cabo
