Middle Bay Fishing Charters provides guided fishing trips for everyone who wants to come aboard, from the avid fishermen to families with kids. Captain David Rice is a native of Fairhope, Alabama, and has over 25 years experience fishing the local area, so he'll take you out for some fun around
You'll be fishing aboard a 24' Pathfinder center console boat, which is well adapted to inshore fishing. It has ample dry storage for your belongings, as well as an icebox to keep your catch in the best condition. Powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine, the boat travels to the best fishing spots in the area fast, and it can accommodate up to 4 anglers.
Fish the areas in and around Mobile Bay and Orange Beach. Your trip will involve inshore fishing with light tackle for a variety of local species, including Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Tripletail. Fishing these productive grounds, you will be well placed to catch all these species and more with live bait and artificial lures.
Capt. David will provide you with everything you'll need throughout the trip, including bait, tackle, ice, and fish cleaning. All you need to bring is any drinks and snacks you will need during the trip, as well as appropriate clothing for the conditions.

No one was catching any fish in the bay today. Literally no one, no boat was showing much signs of life. Just one of those days. Many captains went out into the bay and quickly turned back. Despite this, our captain Mr. Rice gave it hell all day and managed to help land us a nice flounder! He is a great captain and also a great guy to be around. I have full confidence we would have slayed the fish out if there was any sort of bite. We will be going back with him next time!

Outstanding trip from start to finish! The captain had us leaving the dock right on time and put us on fish immediately. We caught our limits of speckled trout and stayed on fish throughout the trip. The guide was knowledgeable, professional, and worked hard to make sure everyone in our group had a great experience. The boat was clean, the equipment was in great shape, and the entire trip was well organized. Whether you're an experienced angler or just looking for a fun day on the water, I highly recommend booking a trip. We had an all-around fantastic day, caught plenty of fish, and made some great memories. We'll definitely be back!

This guy is a class act! This was my first salt water fishing experience. I crappie fish and hunt in all my spare time. My wife had a meeting in the area and I decided to go with her. I started looking around for a short fishing trip while she was in her meeting and found Captian Rice. This guy had us catching fish 15 minutes after we left the dock and we didn’t stop until the last minute of the trip. I can’t recommend him enough. If you are looking for a nice relaxing trip with a great patient guy this is your man!

Our first trip to the bay for fishing was amazing! David was very knowledgeable and helpful! We will definitely be back. i have to catch more fish than my wife mext time!!!! Highly recommend Captain Dave!!!! We are both 60 and found it to be easy to navigate the boat, and any age group would have a great time with this trip!!!
