Welcome for a day and embark aboard our Poti Marara, the Tahitian fishing boat, made for any type of fishing (chasing Mahi Mahi, trolling, etc…). The boat has space for 4 passengers and it has everything you need for a unique experience and a productive day on the water.
Let's go see together what the ocean has to offer and search for Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Bonito, Yellow Tuna, Albacore, Bigeye, and Black Marlin!
We use different fishing techniques: trolling, jigging, popping, or POITO (traditional local technique with a handline and a buoy) known as 'drop stone'. We have rods and reels for you, along with lures.
Our crew is made up of experienced local guides, who have grown up in synergy with the ocean since a young age and master all fishing techniques.
Each of them has a great knowledge of the sea and will be happy to share it with you. Everyone will be attentive to your needs and will listen to you to make your adventure exceptional.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain their energy throughout the trip!
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is not allowed. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.

It's called fishing, not catching. We were in bird piles most of the day. Changed lures, changed rods for smaller lures, changed trolling speeds, ..... everything he could do, but the fish wouldn't bite. went close to the reef and tried jigging. Caught one small lizard fish. This Captain was very determined to put us on fish, but it just wasn't the right day. We even stayed out longer than the 4 hours. I would recommend him to anyone!! Sending one more big THANK YOU to Vehiatua for a great day on the water and his total dedication to his clients!!

My wife, daughter, and I had a great time with Tahiti Ocean Adventures! Fishing started great with a couple yellowfin tuna. When the fishing slowed down they swapped from traditional fishing to jigging and we were able to hook up on a couple rainbow runners and another yellowfin. Overall it was a great day of fishing and we could not have asked for a better crew! I would definitely recomend this charter to anyone looking to go fishing in Tahiti.
