Tushhog Fishing is here to show you the stunning waters of Empire, La. There are hundreds of square miles of inshore fishing, from bayous to bays and reefs to beaches. With Captain Peyton at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Species like Black Drum, Redfish, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and more are in the cards if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, it's common to use light tackle.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You'll be fishing aboard a 22' Trophy bay boat with room for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures and live bait.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Woke up early, was offered coffee, sat on the porch and just talked. We had a BLAST fishing, captain was knowledgeable of any and all great spots to fish, kept tabs on weather, and made sure we had the best time. 10/10 recommend and maybe youll just get lucky and get to play fetch with the sweetest dog! 🐶 We will be back! 🎣

Fishing was a blast with a non-stop 6 hours of casting and catching. We hooked into Trout (spotted and white), Redfish, Sheepshead and Red Drum on live and artificial baits. All keepers were expertly cleaned and baged by the Captain at the end of the day.

Mother Nature did not want to play nice with a lot of wind and very dirty water and Captain Peyton was always working and made sure we caught fish!!! We had red fish, flounder, sheepshead, and even a surprise 3’ blacktip shark in super shallow water that was an amazing fight! He’s personable, passionate about fishing, super knowledgeable, and has been navigating the bayous and bays his whole life. I can’t wait to do it again!

My wife and I had a great time catching redfish with Peyton. He met us in Boothville and we followed him to the launch area on the Gulf. he wisely picked a spot that was protected from the wind and had lots of fish. We caught our limits of slot fish plus a bunch of others. Peyton was a good communicator and knew a lot about the area and wildlife. His price was affordable and he provided the live bait and fuel. Give him a try and you will be happy.
