LowCountry Coastal Excursions Charters
Experience Charleston Fishing with LowCountry Coastal Excursions
Ready to hit the water and reel in some memories? Step aboard with Captain Frank, whose years of local knowledge and experience ensure you'll be fishing in all the right spots.
Charleston's inshore waters are home to a variety of game fish, including Redfish, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Ladyfish, and Spotted Bass. With a little luck, you'll hear that reel scream as one of these local favorites takes the bait! Depending on the season and conditions, you'll target your catch using light tackle and other proven techniques tailored to this fishery.
Families are always welcome. Kids will have a blast on the water, and the captain can provide child-sized life vests upon request (bring your own if you prefer). Pack some snacks and drinks to keep everyone fueled during the trip.
You'll be fishing from a 25' Tidewater bay boat that comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. Outfitted with modern electronics and all the essentials, it's designed for a productive and comfortable day on the water. Rods, reels, and lures are included, and live bait is available (sometimes you'll even catch it yourself as part of the adventure).
Fishing licenses for your entire group are covered, so you can focus on the fun. Some species may be seasonal or have size/slot limits, but Captain Frank will keep you informed and make sure everything stays within regulations.
Be sure to bring along water, sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray preferred), and a hat. You're welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks—beer is fine in moderation, just no glass bottles or hard liquor.
Whether you're chasing your first Redfish or looking to introduce the kids to inshore angling, LowCountry Coastal Excursions has you covered. Book your Charleston fishing trip today and get ready to make unforgettable memories on the water!

We were inshore fishing and caught everything that was promised. Then we went into the harbor and caught some sharks! It was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
We were booked for a 4 hour fishing trip from 8 to 4 on June 24th, 2026. I understand the winds were fairly high and fairly strong waves, but it wasn't real bad. The first 45 minutes were catching the bait and then we headed to the spot under the Charleston bridge where we fished. There was 3 of us 5 that wanted to fish the most. thankfully 2 were able to reel in 1 nice red fish each and the other caught a shark but the line broke before it got in the boat. Unfortunately, due to size regulation we didn't get to keep any of the fish. All the charters in the past would explain all of the details and give you a pole to cast and fish. Unfortunately, all the boys got to do was reel and that was only 1 time per person. Although they weren't biting very good at that spot we didn't move to look for a better spot like we have on other charters in the past until 15 minutes before he said we were gonna have to end early. We paid $850 for a 4 hour fishing trip that ended up being 3 hours instead. Unlike all the charters in the past where we would come home with at least a nice amount of fish and a great fishing experience to remember, we were very disappointed with this trip. It would have been nice to have at least got to fish closer in where they were even people kayaking or offered a partial refund for coming in an hour earlier. Although Captain Brandon was nice, I would not recommend using this charter company. I just don't feel that your experience and a good time matters much to them. We were all highly disappointed, this was the highlight of the trip that the boys were looking forward to since we told them several weeks ago that it was booked. Robert from WV

Tough day on the water yesterday all around. The weather (winds/waves) do play into it with the more shallow Charleston waters. That being an excuse, we take to heart your comments and should have done a better job explaining the conditions as well as the limitations. The limitations being what we must navigate around being out of our control with wind, waves and the regulations that SCDNR has on the types of fish, sizes, etc. that are able to be caught and kept. Explanation and education are key to where we will make sure to incorporate and communicate to a higher level on future trips.

Our family decided to book a last minute fishing trip on NYE. With the last minute decision and it being a holiday we were so worried we wouldn’t be able to find someone to take us out, but LowCountry Coastal Excursions quickly replied with availability. Captain Patrick was great! He went above and beyond to find our family a great fishing spot while also sharing knowledge about the historic area. We were so thankful to start the new year with a fun family experience and Captain Patrick! I highly recommend them!

We signed up for an inshore trip. There were five adults and there was plenty of room. Captain Rick made sure all the anglers caught fish. My brother really wanted to catch a shark and Capt. Rick took us to the best spot. My brother caught a shark and my two sons caught redfish which we had to throw back because they were too big to keep. Captain Rick was very patient and demonstrated a technique for reeling heavier fish. He offered advice without bruising any egos. 🙂 It was a great day on the water! I would definitely recommend this trip!

We took several of our team members from work as a bonus for achieve excellent sales numbers. We all had the best time. The weather was amazing and number of fish that we pulled in was incredible. Captain Rickie was so much fun to spend time with and easily the best fishing captain I have ever met, and I fish a lot. All the gear was in great shape and the boat was fantastic. We are already looking forward to our next time out with Low Country Coastal Excursions!
