There’s something special about the Lowcountry—the quiet of the creeks in the morning, sweetgrass along the banks, dolphins passing by, and never quite knowing what might be on the end of the next line.
At Sweetgrass Charters, we keep things simple, personal, and easygoing. Come spend a few hours in the creeks, rivers, and inshore waters around Charleston with a local captain who grew up loving this place.
Depending on the season and the tide, we may find Redfish tucked along the grass, Trout moving through the creeks, Sheepshead around the structure, Black Drum on the bottom, or even a Shark looking for an easy meal. We offer light-tackle, live-bait, bottom, and fly fishing, with each trip shaped around the conditions and what you’d most enjoy.
Never fished before? That’s perfectly fine. Been fishing your whole life? Come show me what you’ve got. Kids, families, and well-behaved four-legged fishing partners are welcome aboard too.
And while catching fish is always fun, it’s only part of the experience. There’s plenty of time for dolphin sightings, bird watching, exploring our waterways, and simply enjoying a beautiful day on the water.
Rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fishing licenses are included. You can keep your catch when regulations allow or send it swimming home.

Had an awesome trip with Sweetgrass Charters! The captain is incredibly knowledgeable about the inshore waters around Mount Pleasant and clearly knows where and how to find fish. What really stood out, though, was her excitement and passion for what she does. She made the entire trip fun and engaging, and you could tell she genuinely enjoys sharing her knowledge of the area and the fishery. This was a one-of-a-kind experience from start to finish, and I would absolutely recommend Sweetgrass Charters to anyone looking for an inshore fishing trip in the Charleston/Mount Pleasant area. Can’t wait to get back out there!

Capt. Shelby is experienced in navigating the waters of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and is ready to take you on a therapeutic fishing excursion. Using bottom fishing, fly fishing, and other techniques, you'll have a chance to catch Flounder, Sheepshead and Black Drum. The only way to learn is to join them on the water.

How cancellations work
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
What the listing policies are
Pickup agreed upon reservation
Transfer to/from departure site may be available and included in price depending on your location and distance from the dock.
How you can pay
When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 20% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
