We are Destination Alaska Adventure Company and Northwind Aviation. Showing you the best of Alaska by land, air, & sea!

If you’re ready to experience fishing in Homer, we’ve got you covered!

Does anyone in your group suffer from seasickness? All of our boats are equipped with state-of-the-art gyro stabilization technology from SeaKeeper! This system is designed to reduce the roll of a vessel by 95%. Once you feel it, you will never boat without it!

You’ll find yourself aboard The Wilderness Explorer, our 40’ Vessel by Bay Weld. The Wilderness Explorer has a capacity for 10 passengers. And yes, there is a private toilet on board for your convenience. There is also a mini fridge and microwave on board.

A few items to bring; food and beverages for the day (alcohol permitted on Private Charters only), waterproof outer layers, waterproof shoes/boots, warm underlayers, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses.

You need to purchase a local Sportfishing Fishing license and King Salmon Stamp before the trip. This is available to purchase online at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game’s site or local businesses such as the local hardware store or tackle shop.

Destination Alaska will provide bait, rods, and reels for you.

The crew will fillet for you and they will arrange for the fish processing company to meet back at the dock should you need to package and ship your catch home - these fees are separate from Destination Alaska’s fees and will be charged on the day of.

Ready to go make some unforgettable Alaska memories? Let’s go Fishing!

Gratuities for the crew are not included but are appreciated.

Captain David and first-mate Alec did a fantastic job of finding fish and working with a boat load of novice to catch them. They work closely with all 8 passengers to make sure they were taken care of and safe. Two great guys!

Not best or worst charter have had out of Homer, mostly chicken halibut and some rockfish , Wanted to go after Lingcod but Captain didn’t want to drive out another 12 miles. Was a combined halibut Salmon charter but never trolled for Salmon. The boat however is brand new and very comfortable, saw plenty of humpbacks, otters and even some orcas.
