Epic Tails Charters is the premier inshore fishing charter out of beautiful Hudson, Florida, offering affordable, family-friendly fishing charters and sightseeing trips that highlight some of Florida's sought-after fish, beautiful wildlife, and stunning views. Our charters cater to everyone, from beginners to experienced anglers.
Captain Chris is USCG licensed and insured with over 25 years of experience fishing in the Hudson and Tampa Bay areas. When he is not on the water, he serves his community as a deputy. Captain Chris will teach you fishing techniques and will supply all the necessary gear, including poles, tackle, and licenses. We use light tackle, making it easier for beginners to target popular species. Inshore fishing is in waters less than 5 feet deep. This is an ideal trip for children and those who worry about getting seasick. With no double trips per day, our focus is on ensuring that each day's charter has the best chance of catching fish without the pressure of watching the clock.
Join us for the opportunity to catch some of Florida's most sought-after fish, including Redfish, Snook, and Trout. The beautiful mangroves, grassy flats, and white sand beaches provide the perfect environment for countless fishing opportunities. Additionally, anglers may have the chance to catch Sheepshead, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Mangrove Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and even small sharks. Look for dolphins and manatees along the way. No prior experience is necessary. We will assist you with baiting your hook and casting your rod if needed, making it suitable for all ages. We'll also clean and fillet your catches for you.
Your fishing adventure will take place on our custom 2024 Shoalwater 23' catamaran, powered by a Mercury 200 hp engine. With an 8" draft, our boat can navigate shallow waters, allowing you to fish in areas that others can't reach. Let's make some epic memories and maybe see some manatees and dolphins! Captain Chris and his wife were wonderful hosts. Fishing was slow early but he was persistent and got us on fish. Snook, trout, and redfish in the boat today. Looking forward to doing it again!
We had a wonderful time, you guys were a lot of fun. Cant wait to do it again, thanks for going with us.
What could be better? The people Cris and Pam were the most gracious people, immediately putting us at ease. We had the most enjoyable time and Cris really knows his stuff. I would feel comfortable booking with him even if I never held a fishing pole in my life. Book a trip and see for yourself

Capt. Chris' fishing knowledge, top notch equipment, his easygoing manner, willingness to bait and cast (I wasn't the most coordinated), his enthusiasm about fishing and his genuine desire that you catch fish and enjoy yourself made the trip perfect.

Capt Chris and his wife were absolutely outstanding. We not only caught red fish but also saw many other fish and birds. They also have great knowledge about the area and really showed us many cool things.
