These waters hold game fish like Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Tarpon, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Grunt, Pompano, and more if conditions allow. You’ll target your catch by spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You’re welcome to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Capt. Jonathan operates a 21’ Skeeter bay boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. Fitz will supply rods and reels for you. Live bait is available.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing experience on the water with Captain Fitz! Jonathan was prompt, professional, and incredibly accommodating. He reached out immediately to discuss weather and water conditions and to make a personal connection before our charter. We took a two-hour evening charter at low tide, and he put us on fish right away. We landed snook left and right, and he kindly took photos for us, so we could keep the memories of our incredible time. He was very generous with his time as well, keeping us out beyond our two-hour window so we could watch the sunset! I've been on many charters over the past decade during my travels to FL, and Jonathan is hands down the most professional and knowledgeable angler and captain I've had the pleasure of connecting with. Full Day Trip with Capt. Fitz

The kind of quality and professionalism we were looking for. What an amazing day spent on the water! We were about 10 minutes late for our charter because of traffic and he was so patient with us. Capt. Fitz was professional and kind we had so much fun! I love fishing with Captain's who genuinely love what they are doing. He is passionate about the sport that is very clear. There was water and snacks waiting for us on board. My little (6 y/o) appreciated that he let her sit beside him on the Capt. bench. Capt. Is great with kids. She was relaxed and just loved being on the water. My husband whom is not a “fisher” even got in on the fun. That right there is a feat of itself. He ended up snagging a Cobia! The boat is large, clean, seating is comfortable and easy to move around on. Capt. knew the waters well and we were on fish quickly. We have already booked our next trip out in August! Thanks to Captain Fitzpatrick for his service in the Army! Our family of 4 took a 3 hour afternoon trip. We started inshore and then moved offshore a few miles as the fish weren’t biting in the mangroves. Captain got us on some fish and our teenage boys had a blast. Both boys got to catch a bunch of fish including a giant Bonita! Thanks Captain!!

This was by far one of the best fishing charters I’ve had over my 60 years of fishing. Jonathan knew where the fish would be, and he put me on them all day long. I will repeat this trip. This is a charter I would recommend for anyone who loves fishing, regardless of experience.
