If you’re ready to get hooked on fishing in Clearwater Florida, book a trip with Hook N’ Run Fishing Charters.
These waters hold game fish like Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Tarpon, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Grunt, Pompano, and more if conditions allow. You’ll target your catch by spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You’re welcome to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Capt. Jonathan operates a 21’ Skeeter bay boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. Fitz will supply rods and reels for you. Live bait is available.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Everything was great except the fish just weren’t biting.
Hook n Run charters is a great option for a fishing charter. Captain Jonathan was a great guide and tried extremely hard to get us on fish but we just couldn’t get them to hit. Luckily we went early in our stay and Jon was extremely disappointed in our lack of catching fish that he took our 18 year old son out a couple of mornings later on his own time. I would not hesitate one bit next time we come to book with him again and do recommend him to anyone coming to the area. Truly a person who cares about your adventure. Thanks Hook N Run Charters.

He was a very good captain, very knowledgeable, friendly and knew all the right spots to take us for us to land fish. We caught variety and we asked for a tarpon and he was able to get us hooked onto a tarpon. I would recommend him to any angler no matter the age. He was great ! He was very courteous to pick us up at our hotel!

One of my best fishing experiences.
This was by far one of the best fishing charters I’ve had over my 60 years of fishing. Jonathan knew where the fish would be, and he put me on them all day long. I will repeat this trip. This is a charter I would recommend for anyone who loves fishing, regardless of experience.
