With years of experience as a retired Law Enforcement Sergeant, Marine Unit, and service in the U.S. Coast Guard, he ensures a safe and unforgettable adventure.
Typical day! Captain Dan will have a plan for quality flats fishing utilizing artificial baits and lots of fun for all levels of anglers!
Spending the day with Fairweather Fish and Adventure you will see what's biting in Belleair Bluffs or anywhere in Tampa Bay, We also can enjoy islands, great lunch spots, sunset cruises, and more.
These waters are known for Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Snook, Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Jack, Bluefish, Red Grouper, and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Capt. Dan operates a 22' Sea Pro bay boat with room for 5 passengers or 4 anglers. You'll find quality rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available upon request.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, please no glass bottles. Bottled water is included and provided. Yes, bathroom breaks are expected and provided!

Our family of three went on a fishing excursion as part of our vacation and had a great time. We all learned a lot about fishing and caught enough for fish tacos later in the day. Captain Dan was incredibly thoughtful and kind, offering snacks sunscreen and water, playing a custom music playlist based on an offhand comment (good listener), and working hard to provide the best outcome and most enjoyable experience. 10/10 highly recommend!
We knew fishing in January was a long-shot but decided to try anyway. We booked a very last minute 3-hr trip with Captain Dan and he showed us a great time! He commumicated well ahead of our reservation, had a convenient pick up/drop off point, had all supplies needed plus a cooler of drinks on board. Capt Dan is friendly and very knowledgable. He brought us to multiple spots and really tried to get all 3 of us on fish. Ultimately, my 15 yo son hooked a shark, which was very unexpected but a cool experience for him! We plan to try another trip with Capt Dan when the weather is better.
We booked a last minute charter with Captain Dan. He went above and beyond on this trip, with 2 kids he was patient, knowledgeable and bery patient. I would highly recomend this trip for any beginer or seasoned fosherman. He put us on fish, and when the bite slowed down he took us to the next spot. Needless to say we all caught fish, mostly speckled trout and a few lady fish, and one big blue fish! 10/10 would recommend!!
As this was our first family charter it went amazing. Captain Dan did great from start to finish. From snacks to pulling fish off the lines. If we weren't getting bites he would get us moved to location to make it happen. truely was a show up and fisch experience. Thank you Captain my family and myself will definitely remember this trip for many many years to come.
This was my son owens first fishing trip and Captain Dan didn't disappoint him. From the first cast to the last we were surrounded by active fish. Captain Dan was extremely professional and very family friendly. He helped owen out when needed so I was able to enjoy fishing too. Can't wait for next spring break so we can "hook up" with captain Dan again.

If you are looking for some inshore or nearshore fishing then a lunch at one of Tampa Bay's many delicious water front restaurants, or a beautiful sunset, and or Island hopping we have you covered!
