If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Edgewater Charters. Captain Ryan is a 30-year local to Dunedin, so he has the upper hand on these other guys. With him at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Redfish, Speckled Trout, Snook, Blacktip Shark, Bull Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Gag Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Grunt, and whatever else takes the bait. For these species, you’re likely to be using light spinning tackle, easy to use for any level of angler.

Your day begins aboard a 23’ Custom center console with room for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. Ryan has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included!

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. A cooler with ice will be provided.

AMAZING TRIP

I had an outstanding experience on my first fishing trip, and I can honestly say I couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. Ryan, our guide, was absolutely amazing. From the moment we set off, his knowledge and expertise were clear. He made the entire trip enjoyable and stress-free, ensuring that everything was taken care of while we could just focus on the fishing. Not only did Ryan know all the best spots to fish, but his friendly, down-to-earth attitude made the experience even better. He was patient, engaging, and really took the time to show me the ropes. I learned so much and had a great time doing it. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a complete beginner Ryan tailors the experience to make sure it's a perfect fit. I couldn't have had a better first fishing trip. It was everything I hoped for and more. I’ll definitely be back for more trips with Ryan!

Great trip!! Tons of fish!

This was our first trip with Captain Ryan and he certainly delivered in every way! My friend and I are lifelisters, we track different species caught, and Ryan went out of his way to get us as many new species as possible AND enough fish for a tasty fish dinner afterwards, with a recommendation to a great "cook your catch" spot close by. He was great about switching spots if the bite dried up and helped me get very close to my goal of 100 species caught! He's very knowledgeable and friendly and we had a great time. Highly recommended!!

Cold day with a Bunch of Fish

Captain Ryan was an excellent communicator and a clear expert of the area. His knowledge of the waters will allow any angler at any skill level to catch fish in any conditions. We truly had the best time fishing, even on that cold December day.

Family friendly charter!

Took our first fishing charter in Clearwater after 20 years of visiting the area. We should have booked with Edgewater Charters much sooner! Capt Ryan is an experienced fisherman and charter captain who helped us succeed in catching sea trout, grunt, mackerel, ladyfish, jack and a huge nurse shark. He was kind, patient, funny and knowledgeable. He also helped us discover the other local wildlife….we saw manatees, stingrays and dolphins! We plan to book another trip with Captain Ryan during our next Clearwater trip!
