Captain Jamie has over 20 years of experience fishing Lake Erie and making great memories for families and friends

Fishing around here will often see you targeting Walleye, Yellow Perch, Smallmouth Bass, and more if conditions allow. Captain Jamie specializes in light tackle drift fishing, but for those hot, no-windy days, the boat is set up to troll to fill up the cooler.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks to keep ‘em happy!

Your day begins aboard a 25’ Grady-White cuddy cabin that holds up to 5 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Jamie has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don’t leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in cans of beer only, please.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Maumee Bay Fishing Charters!
