Located in Rockport, Texas, Saltwater Experience Charters offers you an adventure on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Texas. Captain Paul Baucum is a friendly and skilled angler who will take you to the Inshore Bay system, flats, and backwaters in pursuit of the species of your choice.
You will be using popping cork, bottom, and drift fishing as conditions provide. Species targeted are Spotted Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, and Flounder.
You will be taking this adventure on a 25' Dargel Kat powered by an Evinrude E-Tec 300 motor. Runs out at 48 knots, So it will get you to that fishing spot quickly so you can start fishing. It has a wireless trolling motor so you will ease in and not scare away the fish. Onboard are 2 live bait wells for plenty of bait and lures are available for the angler that prefers them. Also 2 ice chests - 1 for your drinks and 1 for your catch.
This Charter is family friendly and your children are always welcome to share their experience on the water with you. (Just make sure you bring the required flotation devices for the little ones). Also, corporate and tournament trips are available.
All poles, reels, live bait, lures, and water are furnished. All you need is a Salt Water fishing license, snacks, and drinks if wanted and don't forget the sunscreen lotion. No glass Please!

Paul was great with my 9 y/o son teaching him the technique to catch our target fish. He was knowledgeable on all kinds of fish species that we were dragging up that we weren't targeting. Pictures won't do our trip any justice, we only kept 12(our groups trout limit) but caught somewhere between 60-90 fish.(we lost count) 8 hours of almost constant action. We will definitely be coming back to fish with Captain Paul again!

Captain Paul is an excellent guide and teacher. We took a young lady who had very little fishing experience and had never caught fish in salt water. She caught her very first trout, flounder and redfish. She caught a gaftop also. Great day on the water. Captain Paul, and the saltwater experience charter is outstanding and I would highly recommend going fishing with him.

Had a fantastic to start it off. Right off the bat Captain Paul was helpful and fun. He knew all the spots, from the first spot to the last we were hooking them left and right. Not all keepers, are lines were tight left and right. Regardless, the trip was a lot of fun and just felt like another day out on the water with friends. Also the equipment and boat were excellent and did there job very well. Overall Captain Paul gave us a great trip and I will 100% book again.

Captain Paul took us to a variety if locations and we had a blast catching trout. We had dolphins around us most of the trip - which may not have been the best for us catching fish - and they were reallly fun to see so close. We highly recommend Captain Paul!
Captain Paul was amazing with our 2 kids and so patient and knowledgeable. I would recommend him as a guide to anyone. Definitely looking forward to another trip with him in late October.

I have fished this Bay system for the last 15 years. And wanted to offer the opportunity to others. I welcome all different types of Clients from family (Children are welcome) to customers as well as tournament fisherman. We will move and find the bite as needed. I furnish rods, reels, bait live, cut bait and lures and water. Bring snacks and any drinks you want other than water. Welcome wade fisherman but do not furnish equipment if needed. Will clean, fillet and bag any fish you would like to keep. Look forward to you having a great day on the beautiful waters surrounding the Rockport Area.
