If you’re going to cast a line in Chicago, look no further than Angler Charters. Captain Gintas will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from years of sportfishing experience.
These waters are known for Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, and more – with any luck, it won’t take long to hook into some. You can expect to do some trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Angler Charters welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 39’ Trojan sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Capt. Gintas will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Angler Charters and get hooked!
