These waters are known for Striped Bass, Black Drum, Bullhead, Carp, Catfish, Freshwater Drum, White Perch, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

You’ll step aboard a 23’ Chaparral sportfishing boat with room for 4 passengers. It comes with downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don’t leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
