We had an awesome day on the water with Captain Greg and his first mate, Shane. From the time we got on the boat until we headed back to the marina, they made sure everyone in our family had a great time. They were especially good with our three teenagers, answered all of our questions, and took the time to explain what they were doing throughout the trip. The boat was very comfortable, the weather was perfect, and Greg was just a great guy to spend the morning with. He was easy to talk to, shared a lot of knowledge, and you could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. Shane was just as friendly and worked hard all morning to keep us on fish and make sure everyone was having fun. The fishing was excellent. We caught several steelhead, including a 30-inch, 10.5-pound fish that Greg said was only a couple pounds away from being tournament caliber. With the weather being so nice and a little extra time available, Greg took us to one more fishing spot before heading back to the marina. We really appreciated him making the most of the great conditions. If you're looking for a charter with great people who genuinely care about giving you a memorable experience, we highly recommend Captain Greg and Shane. We had an amazing day and are already looking forward to fishing with them again the next time we're in Milwaukee.

Captain Greg and First Mate Kathy made our trip from Iowa well worth it! Not only did we catch plenty of fish, but we (my son and I) were made to feel like we mattered to them. They are wonderful people who genuinely want their "customers" to enjoy the adventure on their boat. They went over safety issues before leaving and explained the different methods of fishing we were doing. They also filleted our catch in a manner as to fit neatly in our cooler. I highly recommend these two expert "fisher-people". You can't go wrong with these two at the helm!

First off, Greg and Cathy were first rate. Great personalities, great conversation, and very knowledgeable and experienced. We were booked the day prior and thunderstorms and rain were predicted all day and they communicated with us and were able to offer us the next day which we took. It was a sunny, beautiful, flat water day- simply gorgeous. We opted for the afternoon trip fully knowing that the early morning bite is usually better, but we did well enough with eight boated and several hookups that we lost. Had 3 on at the same time once. Highly recommend these guys!

Captain Greg and First Mate Kathy did an awsome job! Both of them were experienced and knowledgeable, not only where to put us on fish but also the history of fishing in Lake Michigan. They worked hard from beginning to end to give us the best experience possible. We ended up with 3 King Salmon, 3 Rainbow Trout, and 6 Coho Salmon. I’ve done a number of charters around the country and this was the best experience overall. I will definitely use the again when we travel back to the area. Thanks for a great experience Captain Greg and Kathy.

My son and I enjoyed visiting with Captain Greg and First Mate Cathy and watching them get the fishing poles ready. They were both very knowledgeable about salmon habits and best places to catch them. As a result, we were reeling in the fish 2 at a time and most were big! We booked a 5 hour charter, but caught our limit in 2 hours. On our way bag to the marina, Captain Greg fileted our catch while Cathy put the filets in baggies. It was a great experience and we are already looking forward to the next time.

We were a mix of first time and veteran charter fishers and we all had a great time. The conditions weren’t great and it was a slow start but Captain Greg tried his best to get us fish and we ended up with 1 rainbow trout, 2 brown trout, & 5 salmon. We appreciated that there is a network of other charter Captains that he was able call for hot spots when things were slow, it’s great to see his motivation is to get fish on board and keeping the sport friendly. He’s an invaluable asset to Milwaukee fishing!

Captain Greg and First Mate Cathy (husband and wife) were great! Incredibly talkative and friendly! Provided us newcomers (adult brother and sister, 2 sons to brother and 1 of son’s friends) to Lake Michigan with wonderful knowledge and a beautiful experience even though the weatherman didn’t cooperate, forcasting 1-2 foot waves, however sending us 3-5 foot waves! The trip started out very encouraging! We caught 5 fish in the first 2.5 hours! Then the fish just stopped!!! Only 3 more fish in the next 5.5 hours. Greg and Cathy tried to bring in more fish for us however it just didn’t happen. A little disappointed but hey, you can only blame the fish! Greg and Cathy were both very knowledgeable and did everything from changing positions to changing the rigging on the poles to bring in more fish, just didnt happen and we know from communications with other captains that we weren’t the only ones struggling to bring fish in. The only negative I would say is, my brother and I felt that many of the poles were brought in and retired too soon and the fillet of the fish we did catch have many bones which wasn’t expected and will not make for easy eating of the fish when the time comes . Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely sail with Captain Greg and First Mate Cathy again in the future!!!

We spent our anniversary morning out on Lake Michigan with Hold'em Sportfishing, with Greg and Cathy and let me tell you they were AMAZING! Look at these beautiful fish—like, come on, you guys! If you’re ever in Milwaukee, we highly recommend booking with them. Jake and I were extremely impressed, and we will definitely be back! Next time, though, the seasickness medicine will be taken. 🤢😂

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband to take the whole family. We are all very inexperienced. We had such a great time! Greg and Kathy were wonderful to work with through the whole process from booking all the way through to the trip. Teaching us not only about fishing but a little history of Milwaukee and Lake Michigan as well. We ended up catching 9 salmon and 2 rainbow trout! We were over joyed! Greg cleaned the fish at the end of the trip and Kathy made sure to tell us how to cook them. Highly recommend!
