These waters are home to Yellowtail Amberjack, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Roosterfish, Striped Marlin, Black Seabass, and more with any luck.
You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Pancho also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Trips with Baja Mia are child-friendly, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea – luckily, Capt. Pancho will have some on board!
Capt. Pancho runs a 25' Center console with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.

Boat was top notch, Captain really knew his stuff and was friendly and helpful. Ricardo, Monica and Blanca in the office were friendly and knowedgeable. Fun time for sure.
It was a tough day on the water which is uncontrollable, but we still caught plenty of fish!! Was it what we wanted? nope! Could they do anything about that? nope! 100% would go again!!!!
getting no fish was not their fault but equipment was the bait tank did not work so we had no bait on the whole day
The booking and service was great. Captain was good, but bait was short and he had no other options. I've been fishing in Baja area for 30 years and I've never seen a tackle box without hardware, ie lure, plug, something! We were dragging dead bait on the surface by 10:30 one day.
Brett in sorry about your experience, unfortunately bait is hard to come by these days, with no bait in the area. We had tackle we just new our chances where low on tackle because of the kind of fish we where trolling. I'm sorry this is fishing and we are responsable for our part, but fishing sometimes is hard and disappointing! Hope you have a better experience next time because Loreto usually have the best fishing in the world!
