Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Walleye, Lake Trout, and whatever else takes the bait.
On the day of your trip you're likely to troll.
Trips with Lucky Dog Sports Fishing are great for kids, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your trip begins aboard a 30' Sportfishing that can carry up to 5 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed.

6 Hour Trip
Fantastic trip!
I have taken my boys fishing in the Caribbean and Canada and who knew the best fishing was in my own back yard (somewhat...I live in Pittsburgh)!!! We caught an insane amount of walleye- about 30 but we threw some smaller ones back, and brought home 23 fish! One was 7lbs! The crew couldn't get a break with all the bites on. the lines. They worked non-stop. Afterwards, we went back to their cute camp and the cleaned all of the fish and filleted and bagged it for us. I never had walleye before and let me tell you it is the best fish you will ever eat. My boys are already asking when we can go again, and we def will, but we have a lot of fish to eat through first! Highly recommend this trip.

Great Afternoon on the Lake!
Capt. Gary and First Mate Dale really came through for us! Bad weather messed up our original trip, but Capt. Gary worked around his packed schedule and got us back out on the water just a few days later. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great time—and we absolutely did! The fishing was awesome and the whole experience was top-notch. Big thanks to the Lucky Dog crew for making it such a memorable day!

Lucky Dog Fishing was fantastic!
Capt Gary and his first mate Dale were friendly, professional, and gave myself and my grandsons an unforgettable 6 hour fishing trip. Caught our limit, fillet and bagged all our fish. Going to make this a yearly trip with them. Highly recommend!!!
