River Bluff Outdoors
Whether you're a seasoned angler or a first-time fisherman, RBO is here to make your next Northwoods adventure a memorable one. Join us for an unforgettable day of fishing some of the best waters in Northern Wisconsin. We target Musky, Smallmouth, Walleye, Brown and Brook trout with both fly rods and conventional fishing gear on various warm water and coldwater streams in the area. The river we fish will depend on conditions such as weather, water temperatures, time of year, and flows. We provide all the gear for a day on the water but if you'd rather use your own equipment, feel free to bring it.
As we float downstream I will navigate the boat as you fish current breaks and different structures throughout the river in search of that lunker. Typically our trips start in the morning, half day trips are 4-6 hrs while full day trips can be up to 10 hrs. Trip times can vary due to weather, flows, and fishing stops. Depending on the day of the week we see very few anglers compared to fishing lakes, sometimes all we see is wildlife. While fishing the river you can expect to see deer, bald eagles, ducks, geese, kingfishers and sometimes beavers, bears, and otters.
I will have a cooler loaded down with waters and snacks but bring any other drinks or food you may want. A valid WI fishing license is required the day of your trip.
I look forward to showing you a great day on the water!

Even though we didn’t bring home fish, it wasn't because we didn't have an excellent guide with topnotch gear (and snacks). The fish just weren't biting much. Captain Matt was very knowledgeable of the river and took extra time to let us fish the best places! He was also patient with the inexperienced fisherman and very helpful with both. We have no doubts that catching fish is the usual norm on this river. In spite of not bringing fish home, we had a great time celebrating our 40th anniversary floating on the river. (Matt also recommended a really good place for dinner!)

Thanks Sally.

Had a great trip with Matt . Felt he did everything he could to make the trip . Highly recommend for a fun Saturday fishing excursion.

Thanks Tom, always a good time with the Manske's!

We had a great day fishing with Matt. He has a lot of knowledge and was very patient and persistent. Landed three legal fish for the day and missed two others. Looking forward to our next trip!

Matt was a pleasure and an excellent guide, can't wait to fish with him again next summer. Taught us how to read the river and put us on a lot of big fish! Highly recommend!

Thanks Mark, glad y'all had a great time!
