Reely Catchy Sportfishing- 53’ 

What an incredible deep sea fishing trip! Captain Carter and Jason were absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. They worked tirelessly to put us on the fish, and thanks to their expertise, we caught a lot of fish, including two sailfish and mahi. They made the entire experience fun, exciting, and unforgettable for our family. To top it all off, they coordinated with Salt & Cypress to have our fresh catch cooked for dinner, and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. From the fishing to the incredible customer service, everything exceeded our expectations. Our whole family loved every minute of this trip, and we highly recommend booking with Carter and Jason. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great trip overall. Leaving the dock shortly after 4 AM allowed us to reach the fishing grounds and have lines in the water before 7 o’clock. The seas were a bit sportier than the weather predicted, but the boat handled it well. Captain Carter and mate Jason worked hard to find fish, were fun to fish with and worked well together. We had five hook ups and were able to land to very nice yellowfin tuna. The boat was without air-conditioning the day we went, but that should not be relevant to anyone reading this review for future trips. Thanks for a great day!

We really enjoyed the Reely Catchy 6 hour charter out of Manteo. The captain gave us the options to cancel since the weather was cold and windy with 6 foot sweels predicted. We wanted to proceed. We tried bottom fishing and moved on to trolling. Captain Carter and FM Jason worked hard to put us on fish. We brought home Spanish Mackerel and Blue Fish. They cleaned everything and made it easy. Thanks gentlemen!

Heading into today I had average expectations. Being a fresh water angler, myself and my boyfriend, have had many days where we have walked away without a single bite, but that’s the gig when it comes to fishing. Jimbo and Carter were very personable and welcoming. We caught a bunch of ribbon fish, an Atlantic (white spotted) shark, and Cobia. We took our chance at some bigger fish while trolling (per our request) and didn’t have much luck but you cant beat a beautiful day on the water, fish or no fish. Jimbo told us how to fry them up and they were delicious! What an awesome feeling it is to catch your own dinner. Cannot recommend Reely Catchy sport fishing enough. We will definitely be back!

10/10 a perfect day. I’ll admit, I was a little concerned with Reel Catchy only recently being added to fishing booker. But communication with the captain was excellent. They even moved the trip up per our request, so that we weren’t fishing so late in the afternoon. Again, a little concerned when we arrived, as we still hadn’t gotten fuel and we left 30 minutes late. But, the crew was exceptional! They wanted us to know what were we’re doing and were great with my 13 year old son. Very clean and well maintained equipment. We booked a 6 hour trip, which turned into an 8 hour trip. The crew bent over backwards to make our experience awesome and it absolutely was. We were on tuna within 30 minutes of arriving at our fishing location. We caught 2 then snagged a third. After fighting the 3rd for 30 minutes we saw it wasn’t a tuna at all but a monster blue marlin!!! No one expected this however, after another 10 minutes the line snapped. No worries, that’s fishing. To even have the opportunity to snag one of these monsters was a bucket list experience. When the fishing got slow, we moved and caught an amberjack. We got back later than expected and the captain took my awaiting daughter on board to show her some of the equipment we were using. Pictures were taken and they recommend by who to have our catch cleaned. We will absolutely only be fishing with Reel Catchy every time we return to OBX. Thanks guys!!!

We chose a 4 hour near-shore excursion in the morning. Captain and crew were ready to go on time and extra friendly. Had multiple bites but only caught one keeper. We didn’t get skunked so we call it a win, that’s why they call it fishing 🎣. Captain went out of his way to make sure our seasick daughter got back to calmer waters and was then able to participate. 10 out of 10. Great fun and fishing!

We popped in for the weekend and did a 2 day with the great captain and crew! They were knowledgeable, friendly and good fishermen knowing exactly where to take us. One of the days the captain didn’t have a first mate so we helped out but he did an incredible job of making sure we had fun and still caught fish! We’ll definitely be back!

My family and I had an awesome trip with these guys, The deck hands literally do everything for you and they are super friendly and just love to fish! They will do everything to get you the fish! We caught over 60 fish hit our limit on mahi-mahi finally caught my first tuna super excited!!! once we got back to the dock, it was late the guys even stayed back just to fillet the fish! Such an amazing experience on the Reely Catchy with Captain Carter! The crew was amazing, they did an excellent job the entire time making our experience a top priority. We got on the fish immediately and had the most fun. Carter is an amazing captain who knows exactly where to go and what to do to make the trip worth while. We will definitely be using and recommending this boat and crew every time! 10/10 experience

We had an AWESOME AMAZING day with Reely Catchy fishing, we had 6 fishing and caught our limit of Mahi Mahi! Capt. and 1st were very professional but treated us all very well. I will DEFINITELY use them again!
