The fish in these waters include Black Drum, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Redfish, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Tripletail, and more, depending on the season. For these species, you're likely to spin using light tackle.
You'll be welcome aboard a 16' Key West flats boat that can carry up to 3 passengers. It has all the essentials. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures and live bait.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. All trip times can be adjusted to accommodate customers.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Special 2 hour trip for Rachel Chute

We booked with Chad for the afternoon while our cruise ship was docked at Cape Canaveral. A quick Uber ride took us to the dock where Chad was ready for us. My husband fishes often, but I'd never cast a line in my life. Chad did an excellent job teaching me and providing helpful tips for my husband as well. He took us to several fishing spots and we each caught a bunch of fish of different varieties. Chad was friendly and shared his knowledge of the area while we fished. He was so gracious as I was learning how to cast. He provided cold water to drink, but I recommend bringing sun screen as you'll be out in the Florida sun. We highly recommend Chad to anyone looking for a fun fishing day for any skill level.

A Must Do!
We hired Chad as our charter while vacationing in Cocoa Beach. Right from the beginning, he proved that we made the right choice by choosing him on Fishing Booker. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and personable. He didn’t rush us when fishing and wasn’t worried about the clock. He was more than willing to beautifully fillet the fish we caught after we were done on the water. When we return to Cocoa Beach, we will DEFINITELY be booking with him again. He provided a great service and allowed us stress free fishing in several different spots. It was as if you were fishing with a life long buddy rather than a random stranger. Fun, Easygoing Charter with Captain Chad!
We booked a fishing trip with Captain Chad during a port stop on our cruise, and even though the bite was slow (thanks to the bait shops being out of live bait), we still had an amazing time. Chad kept the vibes fun and the conversation flowing the whole time. My wife swears she almost hooked a monster, but I kept reeling a couple fish in while she caught… a puffer fish! 😂 What really set this trip apart was Chad’s hospitality. He didn’t have to, but he drove us straight to the boat ramp that was right next to our cruise which was super convenient and stress-free. If you’re looking for a laid-back, memorable fishing experience with a captain who knows his stuff, the area and keeps it fun no matter what, don’t hesitate to book with Captain Chad. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in port!

All We wanted was to catch a shark, and captain chad had gotten bait specifically for our trip the night before. took us straight to a shark spot within a few minutes, my son caught a shark. Captain Chad talks and keeps everyone engaged, at the same time he is the only one who spotted all the sea life that was going on around us. Because of him We seen 3 sea turtles (a turtle was carrying another turtle) 2 manatees 1 spinning shark We had 1 catch which was the shark 8 bites I had 1 close catch of a big blue fish. The fish bit off the line right when I was bringing it too the boat. Captain Chad had the net ready It just didn’t hold on long enough. My son agreed it was a successful fishing trip. (Yes the shark looks small in the photo but remember waves are rocky, and my son said if the shark was any bigger he wouldnt have been able to hold it) Thank you Captain Chad

Amazing!
What an amazing experience! We went out on this fishing charter and had an absolute blast. We caught a stingray, flounder, and snapper—such a fun variety and definitely made for a memorable day. The captain was top-notch—he took us to so many great spots and really knew what he was doing. Super knowledgeable, but also just a really cool, down-to-earth guy who was easy to talk to and made the whole trip even better. We saw dolphins, turtles and manatees! You can tell he truly enjoys what he does. Would 100% come back and do it all over again. Highly recommend! 🎣
