If you're going to cast a line in Port Canaveral, look no further than Port Fishing Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain John is prepared to put you on fish.

Snook, Bluefish, Redfish, Tripletail, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Spotted Seatrout, and more could be biting if conditions are right. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself live baiting , jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Captain John likes to catch whatever is around for that day, so he targets various species to catch multiple fish with different size ranges.

Your boat for the journey will be a 19' Seaboss, restored in 2026. It can accommodate 3 guests. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain what you prefer.

You're free to take home any fish you catch, assuming they meet regulations. Plus, you can have your catch filleted, and up to 5 fish are cleaned and bagged per a person is included in the price. Pack a cooler ready in the car! There's no need to buy a fishing license; just show up ready for some fishing! Don't forget to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), a drink and snacks.

Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Port Fishing Charters!

Great day of fishing with Captain John
4 Hour Trip (AM) on December 23, 20252 adults

Captain John was the best Captain we’ve had, and me and my son have done many charters. He talked to us all the time about what to expect and what to do. We caught enough sheep pads for dinner and then we just went for fun and went to catch the big boys. We caught those two but they’re not very good eating so they were just fun to fish. I would highly recommend Captain John. He is very personable and knowledgeable about the water.

I'm Captain John Walters owner and one of the captains. Third-generation fisherman on the Space Coast of Florida, and I've been fishing since the early '80s. For decades, endless hours have been spent fishing these waters. With this experience, I've won three Tripletail tournaments in a row and have also won a new boat. I've had great success in local Kingfish tournaments. I also specialize in fishing multiple species. My goal is to use my expertise and diverse approach to catch as many fish as possible to bring smiles to my clients. We try not to target any one species just whatever biting that day. So you can catch as many fish as possible. We throw mostly live shrimp around the jetties and docks in the port. This gives you a better chance of catching everything. So, book a trip, and one of us will put a smile on your face!
