These waters are known for Snook, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Sheepshead, Largemouth Bass, Bowfin, Crappie, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few!
During the trip you might be spinning, popping, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in the area. Capt. James also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Feel free to bring home any fish you catch, assuming they meet regulations. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home without any hassle. Your next meal doesn’t get any fresher than that!
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to get one from Captain James. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your adventure begins aboard a 18’ Hewes Redfisher flats boat that holds up to 2 passengers. It comes with and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A 15-20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Fishing license is included. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Water is included. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

MUST BOOK!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I usually don’t leave reviews but I felt like this experience deserves some attention. James and crew were top notch. From start to finish I was either in aw of the views or tight on fish. James knowledge for fishing and location was impeccable. We started are day off catching trout and sheepshead and finished finding the one we set off to target a slot redfish! Along with some sight seeing through the beautiful back waters. Outside of the great trip James is very personable and very reasonably priced! If you’re looking to experience some great fishing and experience some amazing views along with supporting small business I recommend booking a trip!

A lot of firsts!
James did a great job of keeping us entertained, while also helping us catch fish! We hooked into snook, trout, catfish, and a great Tarpon! We also got to see some dolphins, manatees, birds, raccoons, and more. It was a great day out in nature and I would recommend James to anyone looking for a highly rewarding yet chill experience!

Had an absolutely amazing fishing trip! Our captain was top-notch—knowledgeable, friendly, and knew exactly where the fish would be.
