Come out and enjoy a day on the water catching fish while soaking in the beautiful scenery at Edisto Beach! With Captain Kevin at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience to make your trip as memorable as possible!

Species like Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gag Grouper, Cobia, Triggerfish, Black Seabass, Amberjack, Spadefish, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and more may be on the end of your line!

Various fishing methods may include bottom fishing, trolling, casting lures, or a combination of all three. Some fish have special regulations, including size limits and seasons. Simply ask your captain, and he can tell you more. There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 15–20% to show your appreciation.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Children 12 and under must wear a lifejacket at all times, per Coast Guard regulations.

Bottled water will be provided on each trip, free of charge. You're welcome to bring snacks and other drinks of your choice to help fight mid-day hunger. Beer and seltzers are allowed in moderation. Great experience, definitely recommended.
4 Hour Trip – Shark Fishing (AM) on July 1, 20265 adults1 child

Great trip, Captain Kevin and First mate Ryan were excellent, with the adults and the kids. My 4 year old can't wait to go again. When the first spot was a bust we headed for another, second spot we each only made one cast, when they realized it was covered in red algae we moved, no hesitation. Last spot prduced an eater sharp nose shark, and a bunch of baby sharp nose, along with a black tip too small to keep but still the biggest shark I've ever seen, a couple whiting, and a small eater bonet head shark. Awesome experience overall will definitely be fishing with second wind again, can't wait to come back.

Best charter captain I’ve ran with!
12 Hour – Trolling/Bottom Fishing on June 29, 20265 adults

First off from the get go it feels like you’re out fishing with a friend. Captain had a plan for what WE wanted to do. Despite getting on the water to rougher than expected seas we were able to be put on fish and able to catch fish until it hurt to catch fish. Couldn’t have asked for a better day, Captain Kevin and his brother Ryan gave us an experience that all charters should strive to give their clients. 10/10 would recomend. I’ll be coming back in the future!

This is the one!!!!
4 Hour Trip – Nearshore (AM) on May 23, 20264 adults

We just wrapped up an absolutely incredible fishing trip with Second Wind Charters, and I can honestly say Captain Kevin exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we stepped on the boat, it was obvious we were in the hands of someone who truly knows the water and takes pride in giving his customers an unforgettable experience. Captain Kevin was an absolute rock star the entire trip. His knowledge of the local waters around Edisto is second to none, and it seemed like every move he made put us right where the fish were. We weren’t just riding around hoping for luck—he consistently had us on fish and kept the action going. Beyond his skill as a captain and fisherman, what really stood out was how hard he worked to make sure everyone had a great time. He was patient, professional, easygoing, and made the entire trip feel effortless and fun. What impressed me most was how smooth and organized everything was. The equipment was top-notch, the boat was clean and comfortable, and Captain Kevin handled every detail so we could simply relax, fish, and enjoy the day. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion makes all the difference. If you’re anywhere near Edisto and thinking about booking a fishing trip, stop looking and call Second Wind Charters. Whether you’re an experienced fisherman or just looking to make great memories on the water, Captain Kevin is the guy you want leading the trip. We’ll absolutely be back.

Best Trip Ever!
8 Hour Trip–Offshore Bottom Fishing on June 5, 20264 adults

We have experienced many chartered fishing trips and we have to say, this one hit it out of the park! The captain and crew were very hands on with us and provided a safe and fun trip. We were able to see two species of dolphins on our way out and the captain stopped so we could observe them for a bit. We saw a sea turtle which was also exciting. We caught lots of fish of nice variety; trigger, grunts, sea bass, ring tail, amber jack, red snapper, and cobia. We highly recommend Captain Kevin and crew. You will not be disappointed.
