Come out and enjoy a day on the water catching fish while soaking in the beautiful scenery at Edisto Beach! With Captain Kevin at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience to make your trip as memorable as possible!

Species like Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gag Grouper, Cobia, Triggerfish, Black Seabass, Amberjack, Spadefish, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and more may be on the end of your line!

Various fishing methods may include bottom fishing, trolling, casting lures, or a combination of all three. Some fish have special regulations, including size limits and seasons. Simply ask your captain, and he can tell you more. There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 15–20% to show your appreciation.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Children 12 and under must wear a lifejacket at all times, per Coast Guard regulations.

Bottled water will be provided on each trip, free of charge. You're welcome to bring snacks and other drinks of your choice to help fight mid-day hunger. Beer and seltzers are allowed in moderation. Hard liquor and glass bottles are prohibited. It is recommended that you also bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and UV protective clothing.

Your day begins aboard a 26' Sea Hunt 265 Ultra center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a restroom on board for your convenience. The charter boat covers your fishing license, so just show up ready to fish!

Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Second Wind Charters.

All educators, first responders, and veterans will receive a 10% discount!

Best Trip Ever!
8 Hour Trip–Offshore Bottom Fishing on June 5, 20264 adults

We have experienced many chartered fishing trips and we have to say, this one hit it out of the park! The captain and crew were very hands on with us and provided a safe and fun trip. We were able to see two species of dolphins on our way out and the captain stopped so we could observe them for a bit. We saw a sea turtle which was also exciting. We caught lots of fish of nice variety; trigger, grunts, sea bass, ring tail, amber jack, red snapper, and cobia. We highly recommend Captain Kevin and crew. You will not be disappointed.

4 Hour Trip – Nearshore (AM) on May 23, 20264 adults

We just wrapped up an absolutely incredible fishing trip with Second Wind Charters, and I can honestly say Captain Kevin exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we stepped on the boat, it was obvious we were in the hands of someone who truly knows the water and takes pride in giving his customers an unforgettable experience. Captain Kevin was an absolute rock star the entire trip. His knowledge of the local waters around Edisto is second to none, and it seemed like every move he made put us right where the fish were. We weren’t just riding around hoping for luck—he consistently had us on fish and kept the action going. Beyond his skill as a captain and fisherman, what really stood out was how hard he worked to make sure everyone had a great time. He was patient, professional, easygoing, and made the entire trip feel effortless and fun. What impressed me most was how smooth and organized everything was. The equipment was top-notch, the boat was clean and comfortable, and Captain Kevin handled every detail so we could simply relax, fish, and enjoy the day. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion makes all the difference. If you’re anywhere near Edisto and thinking about booking a fishing trip, stop looking and call Second Wind Charters. Whether you’re an experienced fisherman or just looking to make great memories on the water, Captain Kevin is the guy you want leading the trip. We’ll absolutely be back.

Perfect Short Trip for Families
4 Hour Trip – Shark Fishing (PM) on July 26, 20252 adults2 children

Prior to our shark fishing trip Captain Kevin reached out to answer any questions I may have had along with giving a few suggestions of things to bring along (sunscreen (lotion), lots of water, snacks). It was extremely hot on the day of our trip but it was not unbearable on the boat, luckily there was a slight breeze and various parts of the boat provided shade. There is plenty of seating if you choose to place your rod in one of the multiple rod holders around the boat or if you prefer to take a break and watch others fish. Within about 15-20 minutes from leaving the dock we anchored offshore and had lines in the water shortly after. One of the kids in our group got a bite within 15 minutes (a small bonnet head) and after that we all began getting bites. We stayed at that spot for the majority of our trip (caught multiple small whiting, Atlantic Sharpnose sharks, a couple of bonnetheads, a decent size hammerhead, a stingray and even a croaker). I found it very impressive that Captain Kevin was able to take us to a spot and we had action all around at the very first spot he stopped. He was extremely attentive of making sure we all kept bait on our hooks, stayed hydrated (he even had water for us) and was sure to make sure I got the photos I wanted. We tried one last stop before the end of our trip but weren’t having much luck and offered to try another spot even though we were nearing our end time but we declined because we were all exhausted! The boat was very nice and clean. We decided to keep 1 of the Atlantic sharpnose sharks to cook and Captain Kevin cleaned it for us and placed it in a bag with ice to keep it fresh until we could get it back to the house, he also gave us suggestions on brining and cooking the shark since none of us had ever tried it. I am so glad we chose to book with second wind and will definitely be booking again on our next trip to Edisto, we are thinking possibly the nearshore trip this time!
